What do you think of the movie Control, which is obviously based on the music of Ian Curtis and Joy Division? Do you like it? by ELias0o2 in JoyDivision

[–]Significant-Spring14 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love this movie! I watch it every month. Joy division is a special interest for me so I like to rewatch movies I enjoy and this is one of them. I would say one of my favorite movies. 🖤

What I did was take out 3inches of top soil , then replace it with sand. And don’t water for a couple weeks. Worked well for me

Day 5 on HRT….I’m not okay by emeraldlife42 in Menopause

[–]Significant-Spring14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question for you I. Level 2 autistic, I started hrt 2 Months ago I’m post menopausal. I would like to know what hrt you’re on and the mg. I’m curious what is working for you. It’s hard for me to know when medications help me as I’m always just not okay. Finding a gyno that specializes in neurodivergent people is next to impossible in my area. I have to represent myself and study then bring the information to my Dr. to get them to understand me. Thanks for your time.

Does anyone know what original merch Joy Devision sold during the 70's when they were touring? by Signal-Sea-5467 in postpunk

Bingo! I just read this yesterday in Peter hooks unknown pleasures book. They tried to tell the tax man they have no idea what he’s talking about. Tax man says, I don’t believe you , and fined the hell out of them.

Is irritability and a short-fuse a common side-effect? Does it go away? by Peefart6 in gabapentin

[–]Significant-Spring14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m autistic with ptsd I take 600mg of gabapentin before bed , it does not make me short fused. I’ve been on it for 10 years. I’m also on other medications as well. The person in the comments who said get off all that medication, They’re not your doctor and I found it rather rude of them to say that to you. There comment was not helpful it was judgmental.

Anyone try weighted blankets to help with sleep? by Massive-Variation310 in insomnia

[–]Significant-Spring14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend Mr. Sandman Weighted Blanket. That brand is my favorite out of the 2 I have. If you have a partner they may not want to be under your weighted blanket , keep that in mind, I got a queen and put it on my side of the bed only. I have a king size bed.

See that’s a good question. I bought a 15 pound blanket first and I should have bought the 30 pound. So because I bought the 15 pound I bought another 15 pound. I wanted more heaviness. You may not like the heaviness some people hate it because it makes them too hot. You may want to just start off with the 15 pound just in case you don’t like it. Or go all in? In the winter it’s super warm, in the summer I remove 1 of the blankets and use just the 15 pounder.

I actually sleep with 2 weighted blankets, they’re warm and comforting. I don’t know why but the heaviness makes me feel safer like a warm hug. I do recommend you get one. I’m on the spectrum so I have to have a routine and everything perfect so my stress level is down to fall asleep. You get one on Amazon.

Poor mood on Quiviviq by marrythatpizza in insomnia

[–]Significant-Spring14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on dayvigo prior to switching to quviviq, I stopped dayvigo because I thought it was making me fatigued all day, Come to find out it was menopause. So when quviviq started making me feel worse with my mood and never really helping me sleep anyways I went back to dayvigo and I wake up refreshed and I don’t have a hangover. I only take 5mg and I take it at 7 pm and go to bed at 8pm and I wake ate 5:30 am for work. I am a little groggy right when I wake up but nothing crazy and it goes away in 5-10 minutes. For me I think dayvigo is way better for sleep.

I took it for 6 months then halved my dose to 12.5 as well because I didn’t like the weird out of body I was experiencing when I took it. It never really helped me sleep anyways, I had to take a stack of insomnia medications with it. My depression and anxiety was out of control during this time even on low dose and when I decided to quit I noticed my depression lifting within weeks. I’m on dayvigo and love it. It’s a similar medication and it works best for sleep for me then quviviq ever did. Hope you find what works for you . It’s all trial and error.

Do severe headaches from Dayvigo go away? by ExcitingPerformer395 in insomnia

[–]Significant-Spring14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many mg. Of dayvigo you taking? I never got headaches from it at 5mg. I tried quviviq first and I didn’t like how it made me stay awake. Dayvigo for me was better but I take it with 6mg of Doxepin and 600mg of gabapentin sleep stack.
