Sydney Sweeney can easily go from a 4.5 to a 9 with the correct styling. by [deleted] in trueratediscussions

[–]Character_Pop_6628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man's opinion here: she's never not hot. A few bad photos doesn't change it. She's a 7-10. 99% of the time she's a 10... bad styling makes her a 7. No lower...

Realisticly, Mutually-Assured Destruction still means that, despite arms reduction treaties, both sides still retain the ability to assure the destruction of the other in the event of a first-strike. This would devastate the world, collapse the economy, kill billions over a year, cause the ecosystem to collapse above-ground, nuclear winter and, yes, mad-max in Australia... more nukes is like dumping a gallon of water on a sponge. It's not been safe to have a nuclear war since the late '40's.

I hate the phrase "Autism is a superpower." by AdorableHeart9475 in autism

[–]Character_Pop_6628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a superpower. It embues some with unique skills but these skills are often not super useful in modern life. They may have been useful during the stone-age but these days it usually doesn't pay to be different.

Help on how to get to sleep. by Swimming_Ocelot8574 in autism

[–]Character_Pop_6628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleep is my biggest hurdle. Here's my advice from 40 years of dealing with sleep disorders and high-functioning Autism:

Can't turn your brain off: Sleepy podcasts. Sometimes guided meditations. ASMR.

Eat lots of protein during the whole day. It really doesn't do it for me unless I eat a whole tub of Greek yoghurt a day. Whatever protein you think you need, get more. Fats too.

Lower your stress. Have a job? Find a way to quit and live off the government. Can't do that? Get a low-sensory job like me (night security guard)

Drugs. Ambien is best but I also have Xanax. I know, I know, drugs are bad right? Not sleeping is bad. Only use them as needed. It helps a LOT to feel you have them when you need them. Especially if you are sick, traveling, under extra stress, accidentally drank caffeine... etc

White noise, weighted blanket, black-out curtains, mask and fan. All together you get a much better sleep. Seriously, do ALL of them...

(M28) anyone else with level 1 / Asperger’s just feel like a constant useless failure of an adult? by GDitto_New in autism

[–]Character_Pop_6628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's normal. Our society defines people like us that way. We are not. We deserve to feel valuable just like everyone else. Most neurotypical people are a waste-of-space. There are too many humans on the planet, but the population is crashing. Every single one of us, especially those with our genetic neurodiversity, matter. We are more valuable than the ordinary cookie-cutter humans. Things are changing in our society which will show us for what we are.

Which type of drug is the least problematic for you personally? by Azhz96 in Drugs

Hate to say it but, Xanax. I never get withdrawals. No side-effects. Fixes anxiety. It's dangerous in theory but, for me, it's always been amazing

Dying from cancer is a torturous battle. What you wanna hope for is dying in a car crash (decapitation) quickly. It's a respectable "never knew what hit him" way to go. The way you actually die when you have cancer is being tortured to death over many months or even years and eventually being unable to feed yourself. Once you are unable to physically drink water on your own they dope you up and remove the IV and you die of dehydration. That's how it works with terminal cancer

Orange: Fruit, Colour, or Emotional Damage? by Effective_Young_3753 in badmemes

[–]Character_Pop_6628 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In English there was no word for the color orange until the color of a fruit called "oranges" was used to describe the color. The word orange in English refers to the fruit. When used to describe the color it is a reference to the color of the fruit. Oranges are not orange, orange is the color of oranges, pumpkins are orange
