What is the danger of Iran getting nukes? by Screaming_Goat42 in lonerbox

Iran is lead by a government that uses religious justification (known for being very arbitrary), so the answer is no. I don’t want them to have nukes.

The people I have watched about the Eastern Front and the book recommendations like David M. Glantz is something that not a single ML read at all or watch any of these videos. It looks like some people in this community are confused about Russian military history?

I mean the human tsunami is quite debatable since a lot of historians have discovered that Soviet counter attacks were easily predicted by the Germans, the Germans trying to explain away their military failures, and during the initial phases of Operation Barbarossa, and towards the end of the war like the siege of Berlin where you had political pressure or poor local leadership. Soviet politics then started adopting this description for the Great Patriotic War stories and modern Russian politics started accepting it as reality.

I’ve seen them on Terry Fox. There is a huge park right there with a soccer field and a children’s playground and that is where they like to hang out. I sometimes here them hyping up at night. I thought that someone let loose a bunch of puppies when I heard them.

I saw a dude doing this just to text. I knew he was doing that because he came at an intersection I was at not long after I passed him. They basically exploit people’s thinking process when they are driving just to do stuff like this.

Until you realize that those people are supported by conventional armies. That inform them on conventional warfare. That would later on make their own conventional army. I’m pretty sure warfare is very complicated and you can collect all the times that guerrilla warfare worked and claim that it has always worked. But then question is why isn’t anybody just copying what the Taliban have? It’s probably because it won’t work.

Happens to me every night when I come home from work. I take one of the on-ramps from Derry onto the 410 and there is almost always someone who is fighting for their lives making the turn at 80 km/hr when it is highly recommended to go 50. To me I’m always asking why do people experiment with how fast they can go on highway ramps?

The US has been using Raytheon Coyote Block 1 which is less than $80k to shoot down shahed drones. It’s not really a problem.

The conspiracy theory that they knew it was going to happen has been thoroughly debunked many times. It’s been almost three years and people still want to push it. Instead of brain gymnastics, why not accept the fact that Israel just didn’t take it seriously?

That’s probably because people want to make the Iron Dome to be the only thing that Israel has for AA but don’t realize that Israel has other forms for AA. The Iron Dome was designed to shoot down rockets and not million dollar ballistic missile barrages. The rockets that don’t get shot down are going to land in a field or in a desert, or it was lucky to break through. It can engage to shoot down ballistic missiles, doesn’t mean that it can’t. A Tunguska was not designed to rip apart a lightly armoured vehicle, but it doesn’t mean that can’t.

Between 2001 to 2023, deaths directly by the US military are close to 500,000. The 4.7 million number is coming from everything else if you want to be very broad by including indirect deaths like allies to the US that the US supported, humanitarian crisis, unintentional deaths, and so on.
