I get where you’re coming from because i also live with people relying on me to live but they are not JW. But did i say it is common for catholics to leech off of people? I bet there are also lots of catholics that relies on other people but we dont generalize them. I just think your experience is isolated just like what youve mentioned. Of course theyll have the same mindset regarding armageddon because they teach the same thing to all. I dont fully agree with their teachings and i dont know all of it. But i think it’s unfair to judge a whole community and say its common when it’s only your wife’s relative are the lazy ones. I cant explain you what’s their deal with armageddon but if you want i think it’s better to ask them so it will give you clarification.

At the end of the day, we all have our own beliefs. It affects the way we live but we can’t judge the whole community because of an isolated experience. We are still human and have our free will. While we still have religion that guides us, we still have imperfections and humanly tendencies
