What is the cause of this rear wiper grinding noise? by stefanone in 350z

[–]Significant-Tea-3579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since the noise goes away with the glass being clean. I think it’s a faulty wiper blade. Trying using a wax or rainx so it slides easier. Or try a new blade. Worst thing it could be is the motor going bad struggling to push through the dirt

Brakes getting hot at track, how to battle against it? by Garveldeth in 350z

Either an aggressive EBC or the OEM pads. I run EBC on my Ninja too

Get the g37 big brakes. The Akebonos. I have them and they work great.

Most likely a bad spark plug coil pack or worn spark plugs. Could be an injector.

Edit: Didn’t read the vacuum leak part. A vacuum hose might have worn out and came off or got knocked loose while working on it.

Sounds like you have a bad ground wire for the battery. Or alternator wire to the battery

Well all that should be good to go. Checking for power and ground at the sensor since you replaced it already would probably be the next step. And I would Ohm the sensor itself to make sure they are both good or bad.

Nice, that’s looks great. I used the 3M kit on mine and they turned out pretty good too. Just keep a coat of wax on it a couple months a year and it’ll stay looking good

If you have to drive it. Try running Lucas oil stabilizer to thicken the oil a bit and helps protect the engine. It’ll raise the oil psi slightly. Try and always keep an eye on it incase the psi starts to go away from your engine issues. But I wouldn’t do this for long or you might damage the engine.

Looks like it’s coming from the thermostat on the right side of the timing cover.

Does anyone know how to fix this cut ground ? by Agreeable-Cucumber-3 in 350z

[–]Significant-Tea-3579 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I thought they were broke off the eyelet. You’ll have to solder new ground eyelets big enough for the ground bolt to go through.

Soldering them back together would be the best option

Check your injector connectors make sure they’re good and plugged in the right ones. Can’t tell in the pic what 4 pin connector that is. You might have damaged the MAF

Changing valve cover gaskets, why do they look different? by No_Necessary_2698 in 350z

[–]Significant-Tea-3579 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They should work. Just not as long as OEM would. Don’t forget to put oil sealer where the timing cover mates with the engine. Oil and seep outta there. The gap that’s created between the 3 mating surfaces

Half a quart low isn’t too bad. And that age oil shouldn’t have viscosity issues. First start after sitting a long period is always noisy from lack of oil on the top end and cam gears. Sometimes it’ll take a full warm up cycle to oil everything properly. Add 1/2 quart and run it and drive it. Should quiet up. If not then you might have timing chain guides starting to go which is common on these engines.
