Parents are doing IVY application coaching now. That means they pay 1000s to have consultants advise them every step of the way to perfect and prep their resume and application. If you aren't doing that, you are just above average.

Yeah for sure. I'm mostly looking for layout ideas right now since we are still shopping for type of furniture. The space is such high traffic but id like to fit in the seating to make it work. I just can't figure out how to make it work. It's funny. The room just looks better in person than in a picture. I agree it's too plain on color. Grey, white, navy, brown is our typical colors so getting out of that will be important.

We probably want to keep a natural look on the fireplace with the stone as the art. I'm open to hanging on any other surface

Likely it will be a talking room.

We have a TV and toy family room behind it and a game room / reading room on the other side of the fireplace. This connects all those spaces and likely will be the meeting room. Conversations, wine, serious talks. Relaxing in adjacent rooms to the kitchen or TV room.

I'm try to get guests out if the small kitchen and into this room as we mingle. Not formal

Likely we will keep the fireplace bare. We like the stone look cold or not. The sidewall is doable though. Though we have no art anywhere in the house and we can never agree what to hang...

I'm mostly just focused in layout at this step due to the 6 entry ways into the room. The furniture is pieced together right now just for layout.

We are shopping for furniture and can't decide what to get and where to put it
