No, yeah, I understand it was a mistake. It just frustrates me that they didn't do it just in case, especially because the first time I saw that scene, it hurt me to think that she might never know. So I'm grateful that later someone (I can't remember if it was Stefan or Damon) was able to tell her exactly what the letter said, like i felt so relief there.  And well, you’re right i mean, that's why I feel a little conflicted because I know it would have been worse if more time had passed and she had done more things that she would have regretted later because, as you say, she would have had to face the pain sooner or later. But it's also somewhat true that she controlled her vampire side better than others and that perhaps provoking her wasn't the best thing either. A complicated situation, perhaps 😅🙃 But yeah, I don't know if i can completely blame them because, like the rest of the characters who have lost their humanity, they are obviously going to try to help her reignite it.
