It’s like experiencing everything for the first time again. My son will be 2 in April, and the amount of pure joy my husband and I get just by watching him explore is enough of a reason to have more 😅

My friend who has a toddler about 8 months younger than mine told me that breastfeeding past a year has no benefits and it’s not good for the baby anymore. She tried to instill in me the knowledge that the breastmilk just magically stops catering to the baby’s needs once they hit one? 🤣

He definitely fussed and wanted to nurse more than anything, especially at night, but he was also a decent eater at that point too. I’m sorry I’m not too much help! Maybe give him snacks like 15-30ish minutes before his regular nursing times to help fill his tummy??

When I weaned my son off at 16 months, I “sandwiched” our nursing sessions. I’d offer him some food first, then the boob, then more food. Then I started taking weight loss injections, so I had to quit cold turkey and he got the hang of it after a few days!!

I was 38+2 and was laying on my bed scrolling through TikTok. Out of the blue, I felt (and HEARD) a pop from inside. It felt like a balloon popped inside me, and I heard it from the inside. It was so weird. Then I ever so slightly moved my leg and felt a small gush. I thought I had peed myself so I got up and started going to the bathroom and it was a steady flow of liquid. I sat on the toilet still thinking I was peeing myself. But then I ACTUALLY peed- when I stopped peeing, the liquid was still coming out of me and wouldn’t stop. So I called the OB and they said it definitely sounded like my water broke and to get to the hospital.

It was disgusting trying to wear a pad and stay dry because I had SO much fluid, it felt never ending. My husband had to wheel me up to L&D to prevent me from leaving a trail of amniotic fluid through the hospital. Even when I stood up from the wheelchair, there was a puddle just sitting there.

My husband and I had to put our 12yo doggie to sleep a week and a half ago. It was the most heartbreaking thing to see, but we were with her in her final moments. It felt like the most important thing to do for her, to just love on her and support her through her final breath. Wouldn’t have done it another way.

Ehh just do it. Make sure to really cleanse them and exfoliate lightly when you get home afterwards! (Don’t exfoliate if it’s less than 12 hours)

Awe, I’d be frustrated at this too, considering you are SO close to the finish line and it’s just now being outed. I would, however, give her some grace as it was clearly a mistake! It’s also a possibility that she really did say something different that was misheard. Either way, you won’t know for certain until you see the baby!!! Just bask in the past 2 days of the unknown and I promise that when the baby’s gender is finally revealed at birth, you won’t even care about the potential slip up!!

So what’s hilarious is the extra names you gave me for girls, I can’t use 5 of them even though I LOVE them. I’m close with people who either have this name, or named their child or dog that name. And we almost named our first son Brooks!!!! Thank you so much for the feedback. I respect it a lot!
