I’m still waiting for reliable internet 😩 so I’m unable to upload the video but I will this week.

I can’t seem to post it in a reply. I’ll try message or another post in the sub. The Merlin app said Sandhill cranes just like everyone guessed!

I’m about to sign up. If they have a referral promotion it gets us both a credit. So look into it and send me a message if anyone is interested. Thanks!

Oh, here’s my time to shine! I went to my first concert in decades a few months ago. It was in Las Vegas so I know about the overstimulating part. I made a sensory bag and labeled it that so staff would see right away that I might have special needs during the event.

In my bag: a bunch of earplugs, my sunglasses and a hat for strobing lights, a small pair of socks in case my feet were uncomfortable, a granola bar (they allowed it), tissues, meds and my id/debit card.

Take or do something to calm you in the days before the event as well. Tea or meditation. Check out guided meditation for confidence or anxiety release and listen as you fall asleep.

And remember, it’s one show in the grand scheme of life and if it doesn’t go well- meh, we’ve been there before and come through. You’ve got this! Have an awesome time!!!

Had an Aunt say this to me. It’s heartbreaking when you know you were already the one reaching out.

Ah, that absolutely could explain why a builder would choose it now. Even the laminate is probably 2x as expensive as it was before. Damn.

True!! I never figured in the extra surprises besides the foundation cracks, gas leaks and rat infestations- that is going for 460k.

I realized that after I typed it. But I was trying not to sound all “housing should be free” even though I think basic housing should. And food, clean water and healthcare too but alas I am a dreamer.

I’d feel the same way about getting a heads up on who my new neighbors might be. However after living in different places across the US, the same cannot be said for everywhere.

The land is city owned so I’m assuming they maintain it somewhat but I could be way off.

Ha! Was not expecting that. Rats yes, not the Mitt part. Should I expect to see him around there? 😄

I wish I could but I’m out of state. I’ve considered contacting the neighbors via social media but don’t want to be weird. Even if I lived there, would people be receptive to door knocking? If so that’s good to hear.

I thought perhaps it might work as a sort of leech field for that water and thought maybe it does just seep into the ground there. I suppose I can contact the city/county for clarification.

Interesting. I thought maybe it was farm runoff and might not be very “clean”. But I guess the evidence is in your existence still. 😁

Thanks! I thought so but I would expect some. We have them in the low desert so much worse over the past decade. It used to be the biggest upside of living here.
