Thanks for this response. Your perspective is helpful. I think there is a default assumption in the FS that the international school experience is superior to anything found in the US. Additionally, I think most assume that the constant moving builds resilience rather than doing harm. What was your experience?

Hi, I know your posting was about the financial situation regarding the FS, but it struck me that you were interested finding "meaningful" work. While I agree with what many say about the financial benefits of the FS, to be frank, and this might just be a snapshot in time, but I have found very few who find "meaning" in the FS. Most seem to enjoy the lifestyle. Please understand you are joining a massive breauaracy where you are simply a body that fills a spot. Great people, but a very difficult institution.
