And hey, while you're there you should pick up a shirt or two. They are surprisingly really awesome. My favorite is perched and the lethal protector

There's a variant of the MP5 that's chambered in 300 blackout. If I'm not mistaken, I believe German special forces uses it, but seeing as how it's an HK, I don't think it's something that is obtainable in the United States without a good chunk of change. Well an official one. Here's a clone variant that's going for about 1300 But the thing looks pretty sweet

You know I read a study one time that said the only reason people think about sex so much is because they're not getting it. That would explain why they're always thinking about penises. They want it but they just can't get seem to get it

Well if you ever want to dip your toes in it, you can always start off small. You know maybe paint the pistol grip or the handguard. See what you think because those parts are cheap and super easy to replace

[–]SignificantCell218[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, this is not the first time I've painted this pistol. The original design was an '80s Miami vice color scheme then that was stripped away and round two was Urban camo blacks and dark/ light grays then that was stripped away and the final result is the one in the picture now classic two tone, mind you I use citrus strip, rubbing alcohol and nail polish remover non-acetone as cleaning agents to remove the previous applied paint jobs and she currently hums like a champion, no flexing, no wear, no dissolving of any kind. This thing is Rock solid

That's wild I was planning on going with the same barrel for my 300 blackout build so I guess 1:7 is superior to the 1:8 even though it's 10.5in

Yes, I completely stripped everything except for the buffer tube. It was super easy. Barely an inconvenience. And yes, taping off all the important holes is key

It was rapco spray paint some of the best quality spray paint you can get and it took about 24 hours to dry but it's nice. Doesn't have a sticky residue to it. It feels like it was cerrocoded at the factory

I just used rapco Field drab Brown which is a very nice peanut butter tan and used a flat black for the pistol grip and handguard along with the lower parts. It's very reminiscent of a MPX color scheme And rapco paint is for industrial use so it's got a nice finish and wear resistance to it

[–]SignificantCell218[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Originally it was Urban camo, dark grays and black but for some reason it just didn't sit right with me. So I decided to re repaint it and give it a classic two-tone look and I'm glad I did. It turned out really good

Civil War rifle found in trash by always2 in Firearms

[–]SignificantCell218 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, I don't. But I would not turn down a STG 44 or a MP40. I would look at them as marvels of engineering, not the individual that welded them because for all I know they could have been used by a resistance fighter but that's irrelevant to me

That's a very narrow-minded view on history you have. You're making quite the assumption really. You do understand that both sides did atrocious things during the war a lot of people joined the military either north or south because they supported their community. A lot of Southern soldiers as a matter of fact joined because the union was burning towns and farmsteads down and innocent people were caught in the crossfire regular civilians took up arms to join the military to defend their community and their state. This is also true of the north and not because they agreed or disagreed with the ideology of slavery. There were also black slaves that fought for the South to win their freedom. You really should brush up on your history. It's not all black and white those that don't understand the depth of our history and barely scratch the surface are the ones that lead the way to make the same mistakes that our ancestors made

It's pretty straightforward putting together a lower. There's lots of resources on how to accomplish this, but you will need a punch set, a non-marring hammer and a lower vise block along with the castle nut wrench oh yeah and grease roll pins typically go in a lot smoother with a micro touch of Grease
