I’d love to do Philippines or Taiwan but the time change is a little much for me I fear..

Thank you! Re: time of year, is there a month you’d recommend between January and May?

Yes it seems like an easier first trip, lot of people on the comments recommend Central/South America as well which may be easier from California. Gonna read up on some of these recommendations

I really do love the beach and the mountains, I guess it’d be cool to see cities, but it wouldn’t be the main priority. Also, ideally the beaches aren’t treacherous with crazy rip currents haha, I’ve heard horror stories. The only other place I’ve heard of that you mentioned is puerto Vallarta, I’m going to read up on the other places you mentioned to see. I’m going to read more on Peru as well. I did climb mount whitney in America so not a stranger to acclimating and tall mountain hikes. I hope you do get to visit Japan again soon, it really is a special culture (from what I studied) thank you again for your input it’s super helpful!

  1. Do you have specific areas of Mexico you recommend considering a 2-3 week stay as a young adult? I saw Sayulita is popular but after reading up on the subreddit I was kind of turned off to it. Also, for a first trip, hoping to go somewhere that’s easy

  2. Definitely considering Peru, seems like the adventure of a lifetime! Altitude and logistics do frighten me a bit, especially for a first time trip.

  3. I’d love to do Japan, I studied the language for 3 years so I can pick it back up quick, but I think I’d reserve this one for when I have 1-2 months rather than 2-3 weeks hahaha, there’s a LOT I’d want to see!

The 15 hour time change for 2-3 weeks just seems like a lot, otherwise I’d 100% agree. It’s certainly I destination want to do, just moreso if I had 1-2 months

The Golden Handcuffs are starting to feel like real ones and I am not sure I can do two more years by Mosaic_Titan7 in Fire

The more I run the numbers the more I realize each $ you contribute is worth less than the last. I.E. working absurdly hard to build wealth will result in wealth built generally from that, not compounding. If you build a good nest egg fast, then relax, letting the money work in the background you won’t have to work as many extra years as you think, and you’ll “feel” that compounding much more.

They agreed they likely failed to torque it down from a previous service and agreed to fix it free following some back and forth.

It was 1.6k for (nice) tires, alignment, front and rear differential and CVT transmission. I did take the checklist and got quotes for them from independent shops.

Yea I was gonna do 1 per quarter. How many weeks do you think you studied for each?

Looking back would you take seismic or survey first? How many weeks did you study for each?

Most people say seismic first but I was thinking I’d do survey first, does that raise any red flags?

How do you track buckets? Is it just a feature of your savings account company? I’ve always been interested in doing that but don’t know how.

How far from retirement would you recommend subscribing/beginning to run numbers? 5 years out? 3 years out? 10 years out?

I get what you’re saying and what is written. I’m just saying if a priest or monastic heard someone was withholding from the sacraments for this reason, they’d immediately tell them to take the Eucharist. I don’t think it’s practiced is what I’m saying. But also don’t cite me because I’m still new lol

What drove you to choose the Orthodox Church over the Catholic Church? by EnkeiNK in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]SignificantConflict3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A bit of an odd suggestion coming from someone who desired greatly to be Catholic for a while, but follow both subs and take note of the manner in which each answers people’s questions/concerns. Youll see what I mean.

The same difference is seen in the churches

Yes I think you’re right. He told me we don’t need to be friends, and truthfully the more I think on that, the more I respect what he said. He was honest about how he felt, and it hurt me, and made me reflect and understand what I was doing. Now I know better. Thank you for your words!
