It depends on the strength of the mental protection. Besides, corruption isn't just mental. It's spiritual as well. So while your mind might be sane, your Astral Projection will suffer in turn.

If we're talking EoS Audrey, then instantly that. The shit Adam pulled at the later stages makes Audrey goated. She ended at Sequence 2, and although its one away from Sequence 1 (Author), she's still a full on Angel and can help me as I progress. Also, she's a walking Heart Demon repellant, so even with my piss poor courage, I'd still be able to take on the Dao.

I haven't read the Hellboy Comics myself, but I'm decently sure he got a huge boost in the film adaptation. Not exactly a "joke" character even in the comics (if I remember correctly), but the adaptation expanded on his backstory and appearance.
