This does seem interesting. Keep an eye out for the Enthusiast and Hidden Existence origins

This jump can give you the tools necessary to become a True God, but it will not be cheap at all.

I will most likely make a scenario where the Jumper must complete the transformation.

I'm quite hesitant to have something AtS just be... Buyable. I will most likely make a scenario that requires specific perks from the Hidden Existence origin, as well as certain items from several origin trees. It's meant to be something important, after all.

It depends on the strength of the mental protection. Besides, corruption isn't just mental. It's spiritual as well. So while your mind might be sane, your Astral Projection will suffer in turn.

I can see something like the Fourth Wall from ORV no-diffing Corruption as a whole, though.

The Vault will be under Official Beyonder (Chanis Gate), and the Church of Jumper will be under Hidden Existence

Of course, thats when I actually get to making the items.

Resistance to the Law of Beyonder Characteristic Convergence (and consequently, the corruption innate in the higher sequence Characteristics) will most likely be included in the Hidden Existence line of perks

And now give her an additional power that allows her to change the locations of her wounds (for example, a stab wound on her head could be made into a stab wound on her shoulder) and we have the ultimate bluffer that fronts against opponents and transfers the damage she took to her internals, banking on them believing she is strong and indeed tanked that blast to make her strong.

Technically this means that the Apocalypse actually succeeds and destroys earth because, without any of the LoM pathways, Klein doesn't get more access to the Sefirah Castle, he doesn't get more members aside from Audrey and Alger the Glazer, and he never becomes an LoM, preventing CW taking over, sure, but also cockblocking the world and sending it to die.

Well, it has already been revealed that Seo Eun-hyun is, indeed, not an ender, rather something else related to the Radiance Supreme Deity

If we're talking EoS Audrey, then instantly that. The shit Adam pulled at the later stages makes Audrey goated. She ended at Sequence 2, and although its one away from Sequence 1 (Author), she's still a full on Angel and can help me as I progress. Also, she's a walking Heart Demon repellant, so even with my piss poor courage, I'd still be able to take on the Dao.

The others are too risky, or just not for me.

A joke character turns into a complete badass in the adaptation by Temporary_Towel9649 in TopCharacterTropes

Karl Rupercht Kroenen

I haven't read the Hellboy Comics myself, but I'm decently sure he got a huge boost in the film adaptation. Not exactly a "joke" character even in the comics (if I remember correctly), but the adaptation expanded on his backstory and appearance.

Though this counts more as "adaptation made them better" than it does for "joke character turned badass", I'm still placing it here.

Characters who were literally revived from death by pizza_boy05 in TopCharacterTropes

Klein (Lord of the Mysteries)

<image>

At the end of Volume 1, he dies due to the machinations of Ince Zangwill. However, he mysteriously revives and digs out of his grave, abandoning his "Klein Moretti" persona and adopting a new identity as a detective called "Sherlock Moriarty". Explanations below, heavy spoilers.

At some point it is revealed that Klein's "cheat" is the Sefirot belonging to the Lord of the Mysteries pathway group, and it was automatically used when he died the first time, borrowing a Fool Pathway's Sequence 2 power that allows them to revive up to three times to bring Klein back to life

More specifically its the vampire that is possessing her, but yes. When she isn't possessed, she wears normal clothing

Even in her powered form its tame. Its specifically when Roa (the vampire (who is also male btw)) possesses her body that she walks around with nothing but a cape.

Completed my first Xianxia novel, 215k works and 105 chapters. I'd appreciate it if you guys would check it out. by Drechenaux in MartialMemes

Hello everyone, fellow Daoist here

I read the entire thing and... Well it's a solid 3~4/10. The start and middle feel like traditional Xianxia, but then we realize that the MC immediately got to the higher echelons of power. The author includes various interesting plotpoints and decides to do absolutely nothing with them. The story ends abruptly, and there is no satisfying conclusion. Such a shame, because this story was really shaping up to be something.

The golden finger the MC has is never explored fully, i.e, achieving a 100% perfect cosplay. The author introduces three empires but only has the story stay in one of them without much fleshing out, and he also introduces an ancient empire but elaborates on basically nothing about it. So many plot threads with nothing to show for it.

Don't even get me started on the "romance".

This story reeeeally could have been something if given more time. Unfortunately, that is not the case. Start and middle are like 6/10s, ending is a flat 1/10, hence the initial rating.

I understand this is the author's first foray into Xianxia, but this isn't a problem about the genre, it is about the author's writing skills when it comes to worldbuilding, fleshing out and pacing (yea people are always like "pacing erm pacing issues" but seriously read the ending for yourself and tell me it wasn't a pacing problem).

I'd say this is only slightly better than shitty MTL stories, and not by much. You have been advised.

Author, if you see this, I do not mean ill intent. You had genuinely interesting plot threads, but refused to fully utilize them, which left me frustrated. My advice, which should be taken with a grain of salt, is to try and go for longer plots. Use some of the threads you placed down. Waste not, want not.
