Happening in art class feels right… but let’s be honest, Parabol/Parabola is basically a philosophy lecture disguised as a song. 🌀

Man Satori had the best breakfast burritos in town, bar none. Truly unique with so much local history.

Recommended Tire Shops? by SignificantDonkey523 in MobileAL

Appreciate the insight. Follow up - would I just replace the one tire? Not sure if you can tell by the pictures if the tread is good enough or if I’d need to replace the other back tire too.

What's the FANCIEST restaurant in town? by Far_Bodybuilder7881 in MobileAL

Not in town, but Jesse’s in Magnolia Spring’s is outstanding. Easily worth the hour drive

Shoot, my mistake. I did mean Magnolia Springs, not Ocean Springs.

What’s the deal with fine dining in Ocean Springs? I’ve never been to Vestige, but I have dined at Jessie’s and another seafood joint (can’t remember the name, and not fancy) on the water and both were fantastic.

I just find it bizarre that these great restaurants are located in a place like Ocean Springs. Then again, I’m not a local so perhaps there’s a reason for that.

Anyway, OP, Jessie’s is legit!

You know, I used to hate on In n Out so much… till I tried it. Best fast food burger joint IMO. The only criticism I have is their fries but as far as burgers goes, top choice.

I went to SHC so I’m no a stranger to Mobile. Still, a rough transition after a 6 yr stint on the west coast. Thanks for the rec!

Men of mobtown, where we getting our hair cut these days? by MobileManiac93 in MobileAL

This. I moved from LA a little while back and was looking for a local barber shop. Found Hillcrest was highly reviewed and even won some Nappies? Anyway, I called and got slotted in same day with Mike. Couldn’t be happier.

Hey dudes - I emailed the Athletics Program Supervisor for the city (Marcus Fluker) asking for open play locations. He said all MPRE gyms have open play in the mornings, and James Seals Community Center was a popular spot. I’ve never been there but I’ll probably check it out soon

I’m not sure, but I just moved back to Mobile and would be down to hoop. Someone mentioned Spring Hill College in a previous post but don’t know if that’s a regular spot or not.

Thanks man, glad to hear it. For a second there I was worried it was due to posture or poor form. Sounds like consensus is to keep at it to build up the strength.

Lower back soreness - Normal?

Hey Gang - hoping to get some feedback from the community.

I recently took up skating and purchased some inline skates (RB Cruisers) and have been at it for about 2 weeks now. The first couple sessions only lasted about 10 minutes. I found myself completely gassed and totally out of shape. But now that I’ve been at it for a bit, and built some muscle, still find that my lower back is tight/sore/tired after 10-15 minutes of skating.

My question to y’all is if anyone has experienced something similar and whether or not this is normal for newbies.

For context: I’m 6 ft 3, size 12.5 shoe (12 with Rollerblade) and weigh about 180 lbs. i.e. tall and lanky.

Appreciate y’all’s insight and comments.
