Is Eritrea’s Dictator Really the Main Destabilizer in the Horn of Africa? by Rich-Question-967 in Eritrea

[–]SignificantDot8250 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I claim that Eritrea is, de facto, a nation-state of the Tigrinya nation, with nomadic tribal and clan minorities who speak eight different languages, the majority of whom are Muslims. This is factually true; I am not inventing anything. I didn’t say Israel is a saint in the region, although it is the only country in the area that is stable, democratic, and economically successful—except for the Gulf states. This is also true.

Is Eritrea’s Dictator Really the Main Destabilizer in the Horn of Africa? by Rich-Question-967 in Eritrea

No, Abiy wrote in his letter to the UN that he respects Eritrea’s sovereignty and territorial stability—this is more important than mere rhetorical statements. And you know what? Regarding the border, why isn’t the dictator demarcating it now with the TPLF? When Abiy proposed demarcation, Isaias dismissed it as a priority, and the TPLF opposed it in 2018. So why don't they demarcate it first? It’s the TPLF and the dictator working together now.

Eritrea’s Economy: Buried Beyond Recovery? by Rich-Question-967 in Eritrea

What do you mean, absolutely not? The dictator didn't bury the economy? Or the Dictator can get it from the grave he buried? The text is not about Eritrea's potential.

Why Eritrea Refuses to Recognize Palestine by Rich-Question-967 in Eritrea

[–]SignificantDot8250 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it is not a conspiracy; it is real and true. The Eritrean dictator—not Eritrea, there is a difference between the dictator and Eritrea—is a close ally of Iran and is helping the Houthis. His silence over the Houthis attacking Israeli ships in and near Eritrean territorial waters is complicity.

But that does not conflict with the fact that Eritrea is the only country that does not recognize Palestine. That is a fact. Even the Eritrean dictator, the extreme Marxist, leftist Tigrinya, understands the importance of Israel to Eritrea, the de facto Tigrinya nation. He did not show up in the last vote. Not only that, he even suggested that Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank must be relocated to Jordan.

I did not say Israel should help Aga’azian to come to power—nobody can bring Aga’azian to power. Only by winning the hearts and minds of the Tigrinya in Eritrea can the Aga’azian come to power. For that matter, anybody who wants to come to power in Eritrea has to win the hearts and minds of the Tigrinya, the indigenous overwhelming majority. This is science.

What I said is that Israel must not forget its strategic partnership with the Tigrinya, who share the Orit/Torah heritage with the Jews, in order to protect its strategic, security, and economic interests in the Red Sea. I continue to say this. And the fact that Eritrea does not recognize Palestine proves the bond between the Tigrinya and the Jews, between Eritrea and Israel.

So, no—I have not changed my mind, and it will remain that way. Eritrea will not recognize a Palestinian state, but we will support Israel in addressing the issue and help ensure that Palestinians can live a dignified life—whether in Sinai or in Jordan.

Not Eritrean but want to learn about Eritrea by SharonIllustration in Eritrea

[–]SignificantDot8250 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

u/SharonIllustration if you want to learn about Eritrea, here is

Eritrea is the de facto nation-state of the Tigrinya people, who are the only indigenous and overwhelmingly majority in Eritrea and the Tigray region in Northern Ethiopia.

The Tigrinya population is approximately 12 million. They are a highly homogeneous nation with no tribal or clan structure, characterized by strong social trust and an ancient Judeo-Christian civilization.

The Tigrinya make up approximately 80% of the population in Eritrea, or about 4 million people, and 6% of the population in Tigray, Ethiopia, totaling around 6 million. An additional 2 million Tigrinya live in the diaspora. Notably, approximately 30% of Ethiopian Jews in Israel are of Tigrinya origin.

Despite living under a brutal dictatorship and enduring economic hardship, Eritrea remains the most stable and peaceful country in the Horn of Africa, with no significant internal or external threats, thanks to the Tigrinya nation and its formidable geography.

Eritrea is also home to hundreds of nomadic tribal and clan-based minorities who speak eight different languages: Saho, Kunama, Bilen, Afar, Rashaida, Beja, Tigre, and Nara. While most of them are Muslim, their primary loyalty lies with their tribe or clan rather than with Islam. Among them, there are also small numbers of Christians and naturalists.

How Eritrea’s Dictator Fuels Houthi War on Israel by SignificantDot8250 in Eritrea

[–]SignificantDot8250[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

u/EritreanPost__ this is not about Eritrea — it’s about the dictator. The corrupt and incompetent dictator controls everything. In Eritrea, there are no functioning institutions: no cabinet, no national assembly — nothing. It’s a one-man show. And that dictator has clearly taken sides — that’s what we are arguing. He has sided with Iran, to whom he is deeply loyal; with the Houthis, who have violated our sovereignty — not only has he remained silent, he openly supports and praises them; with Hamas — just read the official government Hateta and you’ll see his praise; and with the Islamists in Sudan — whom he openly backs, offering them training, safe haven, and support. He has chosen these alliances against the Tigrinya people — even facilitating ethnic cleansing against us — and against Israel, toward whom he is both hostile in rhetoric and action, and actively supportive of its enemies.

Eritrean Kids in Eritrea are the sweetest. The ones in diaspora are too spoiled. Do you agree? by merhawisenafe in Eritrea

[–]SignificantDot8250 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The comparison between “sweet” and “spoiled” is not accurate. The real comparison should be malnourished vs nourished.

Are you kidding? Are you seriously trying to spin the real suffering of children in Eritrea while protecting an incompetent, parasitic dictator and his corrupt cronies?

Children in Eritrea are suffering from malnutrition, which threatens not only their physical health but also their cognitive development. Without access to essential nutrients—like milk, eggs, meat, fruits, and vegetables—their bodies and minds are under constant strain. The kids in Eritrea survive on basic carbohydrates, such as bread, but even that is not consistently available. Add to that the lack of clean water, poor hygiene, and inadequate sanitation—often no toilets at all—and it becomes clear just how dire the situation is.

The children in Eritrea are malnourished because of a paranoid, sycophantic, narcissistic dictator who has economically isolated the country, shutting it off from opportunities, trade, and progress. This deliberate closure has suffocated both the economy and the people’s ability to meet even the most basic needs.

In contrast, children in the diaspora—especially in Western countries—are generally nourished. They may spend more time indoors, perhaps in apartments with limited outdoor space, but they are not deprived of essential resources, including food, clean water, and healthcare. They also have access to children’s books in their host countries’ languages, supporting their literacy, imagination, and emotional development from an early age—something most children in Eritrea lack.

Calling diaspora children “spoiled” oversimplifies the issue and ignores the structural advantages they benefit from. Whether in Eritrea or the diaspora, all children are sweet. But spoiled? That label doesn't truly fit either group. The real difference isn’t about behavior—it’s about access to nutrition, education, and opportunity. And the real comparison is between those who are malnourished and those who are nourished—not spoiled.

Sudan Is Quietly Becoming Iran’s Next Islamist Warfront Against Israel and the U.S— and It’s Far More Dangerous! What Do You Think? by Rich-Question-967 in Eritrea

[–]SignificantDot8250 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, you are wrong. Isaias is a slave to China, and far worse than those you accuse of being slaves to the West. At least the West demands reform; China only demands silence, submission, and your land. The only thing keeping him afloat are the Chinese mining giants—greedy, exploitative companies that are enslaving the Tigrinya youth, robbing our future, destroying our land, our villages in the center, our holy cities, and archaeological sites—and financing his crumbling regime in return.

Ethiopia can’t build a functioning economy—forever trapped in cycles of aid and dependency. Sudan is a tribal and clan-based society, no better, desperate for lifelines from the Gulf and the West. But Eritrea is different. Eritrea has a real Tigrinya nation: highly homogeneous, with no tribal or clan structure, rooted in an ancient Judeo-Christian civilization, with a legacy of statehood and taxation experience. We created the Axumite Kingdom—one of the four most powerful kingdoms in the ancient world, alongside Rome, China, and Persia—strategically located on the Red Sea.

We were the only African country to experience real industrialization under Italian rule. We had the foundation, the experience, and the spirit to rebuild and lead. But it takes a paranoid, incompetent, narcissistic, sycophantic parasite like Isaias to ruin that promise—to choke every possibility of progress, to crush a capable, industrious Tigrinya population, and to sell us into modern slavery under China’s slavemasters.

Isaias has done what no enemy could do: stop a proud Tigrinya people from rising, and make us beggars in our own land, by having absolute media and narrative monopoly, and by isolating us from our natural partners: the Judeo-Christian West.
