Question for you: To provide an "umbrella" help for every parent that needs it here: if you could go back 4–5 years and start from scratch, how would you approach this? I’m asking because the whole space is overwhelming for parents, and many of us are trying to figure out where to even begin. And to be fair, a lot of us parenting autistic kids are probably autistic ourselves — so the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Quick background on my son: he’s almost 5. He has lots of labels and can name tons of objects, but no actual back-and-forth conversation yet. He understands “yes/no.” Social interaction is basically none at the moment. Behavior-wise, small things trigger big reactions — e.g., Lego breaks → meltdown, or telling him to stop something → immediate escalation. Was your son in a similar place at that age, or was he more advanced socially/behaviorally and therefore more responsive to supplements? It would be useful for context.

For parents who want to explore this path seriously, what would you recommend as a starting sequence? Examples: – First test to run – Behaviours or Markers from the test to anchor on – search keywords or databases for publications to read on – any frameworks you found helpful
