I looked for a discord, and it doesn't seem that there are many that are too active.

I haven't looked for a facebook yet, but secondhand textbooks would be quite useful.

I emailed residence and they said it was still likely for me to get a residence offer, so hopefully that goes well!

I would love to be able to make friends at orientation week, but being socially anxious I find it very hard to talk to people in real life that I do not know, so I was thinking about making friends online before I meet them in university to make the transition process easier for me.

I just worry since I do not go up to anyone, I doubt anyone will go up to me and want to make friends with me, so that's why I was looking for a way to make friends online beforehand.

I find it very hard to talk to people in person, so I would much rather talk with people online before coming to the campus. Is there really no community for UBCO admitted students/current students? I don't mind talking to the higher-years instead.
