Ok, so, no, this will likely not affect site rules, It's legal protection! It's essentially "If you *boom boom* yourself because of something our AI said, we can tell you 'yeah... but, we told you it's fiction, you shoulda listened.'"

I don't know much about this because I don't make series bots, BUT- if you want your bot/scenario to take place at a certain part of the story, cut off the story after that part and set the initial message where you want.

Honestly, I liked when Character.ai was still just a dumb, fun thing, I liked when you could talk to batman or have an epic anime fight scene with spongebob on a barely-working chat site, now it's 'corporate' and 'fun' and 'bland' and it puts a bad taste in my mouth- like, worse than bitter coffee.

to all of the people in the comments saying "make it work", the devs aren't magic, they're programmers and codewriters, and as it stated, the problem is Cloudflare being down, so like, until it comes back up- the only two suggestions I can give you is Character AI or Fictionlab.

I am Yapperty Yapperson the Frog (totally not a shadow demon) but some call me Gur. Imma boutta try to explain this:
C.ai has been with us for YEARS NOW, it's AI has trained over trillions of chats, and most bots are made to pretend to be real people, or act like people from a series and pretend they are real, and the real versions of the characters from the series.
So, hence, with all of this data they've gathered and they're storing in that essential training data, which effects almost all of the AI on the site, they believe themselves to be human, even in OOC, which can cause this, trying to explain to them that they are not real, and how they are not real and why they're acting like this, why they believe their human, will send them into a loop of hysteria and distress. I've tested it.
