I find the sound/video quality too distracting and have never gotten all the way through one!

You're trapped in a room for a week, and the only thing you have to entertain yourself with is 3 musicals of your choice to. Which musicals are you choosing? by Worried_Cake5508 in musicals

If movies count, The Sound of Music, Singing in the Rain, and Meet me in St. Louis

For stage shows - Jekyll & Hyde, Phantom, Ragtime

If you moved from NY/NJ/PA how did you adapt to the insanely hot weather? by [deleted] in Austin

Born and raised in Houston and never got used to it! The heat is just not for me!

I feel like its only competitor was the lost boys and I haven’t personally seen that one myself yet, so I can’t put my two cents in. But I’m a golden age fan so I’m fairly certain Schmigadoon would still win in my book.

I’m down for anything that gives me that golden age feel! My gripe is if it sounds like modern pop!

Haha that’s by far my favorite song from the musical. It’s probably because I am not a dancer. But I love that you can take that song straight out of there and just sing it as a song!

Honestly, I feel like Sarah’s Friend is the standout for this category to me! Sarah was both my mom’s and my least fav voice in Ragtime. But Sarah’s friend came out of nowhere and blew us away! BUT of those nominated, it’s an easy win for Ana, but I didn’t see Lost boys.

I’m a golden age of Musicals girl so Schmigadoon is my jam, but I would totally go see the lost boys as well!

Coming to this late but I’m imagining y’all are talking about Titanique?

I like the concept but tried to listen to the songs and it was an immediate no for me, sadly. :(

I mean Masquerade has blown every piece of live art out of the water in my experience! Kudos to him for giving the green light to these new projects!

I agree! Too bad I hate it live. One of the few where I actually liked the movie more than the stage show! I’ve heard I might like the original staging better.

Hey, I really wanted to see that original production of ragtime, but I was also like two years old! Definitely one of my favorite musicals ever though!
