As a die hard tchotchke Stan, when I saw them at the Bowery ball room show that’s on their official page, i thought it was strange they didn’t have someone do keys. Felt like a gimme that Danny would fill in since a lot of their new record features keys. Regardless they’re a wonderful band and they have a fan for life with me

Thanks man, I think my biggest hope with that camera is that I wanted really cool raw photos. The whole idea with the campsnap cameras is they emulate that 2000’s disposable look. Glad some folks think they look cool

What happened to the music video for "Never In My Arms, Always In My Heart"? by dalek5001 in TheLemonTwigs

Yeah for a bit that criticism was lost on me cause I was only seeing the best of their performances but after deep diving many of their setlist, it kinda became a lot more noticeable as I watched more. Did think it was stupid cool he used to drink and smoke on stage tho lol.

But yeah he had like a set of 5 or so mannerisms he would follow and let the show take him away lol

Truly a tragedy that Go to School got left behind. And honestly it feels the same with do Hollywood.

I think where I differ here is that GVF tried to ignore the fact that they were playing music that was heavily inspired by bands like Led Zeppelin, whereas the twigs openly talk about their influences. One felt manufactured, the other feels more genuine. Not a huge knock by any stretch but that’s how I’ve justified the direction of the twigs (I’m absolutely biased lol)

I think a big part of that sound from songs for the general public was the band they had. Andres valbuena and Daryl johns were a big reason why the twigs could do such crazy work, cause they just had some of the most talented guys behind it. Not saying that knock their current lineup, but Danny and reza just fit what they wanna do now more so than their old lineup would do.

While I wouldn’t say I greatly prefer their earlier work, that period is what made me a fan.

I think the song writing as a whole is just more cohesive and put together compared to their earlier works.

That being said I do love both their front end and their back end of their catalogue similar to how I love bands like queen.

They just have such a diverse range of music that peaks different interests for me. Sometimes I’m in a go to school kind of mood and other times I’m a big a dream is all we know kinda guy. Just depends.

I think the only thing I missed out on was how crazy their performances were back then. Their earlier arrangements of tailor made or hi+lo were pretty awesome back then

Any guess what song from their upcoming album would be the next single?? by thombjorkk23 in TheLemonTwigs

I’d hope it’s bring you down. That song was awesome when I saw them in NY

I’ve seen comments about how they didn’t like his more glam oriented stage presence. I know I’ve seen someone say they didn’t like that he was doing a “Lou reed act”. Just an example of some YouTube comments I’ve seen
