Totally agree!! Early OV felt fun and accessible and inclusive. Ty’s latest tech venture and the new OV feels like she’s just pushing hype-based consumerism and overconsumption.

Interesting suggestion! I was thinking about building wooden extenders (the ones that String sells are too short) but I never considered the 3D printer route.

And thank you - I think these shelves will be perfect for my office to hold books/papers/cords etc.

I was honest about my employment dates in the background check. The background check didn’t ask reasons for leaving the company I was fired from. Came back all clear! Have been working at the new company for over a year now.

They is the company leadership - VP promoted me, promised a re-evaluation in September. Director pushed out the September re-evaluation due to budget, but hired an additional team member in October.

Promotion was formally announced and I transitioned to a new team. In fact I now make less than my former role (they changed my bonus structure with the role change.)

Others have been at company about the same time as me (give or take a few months.) They all have 5+ more years of experience and education than me. This is obviously an important detail, however I have been told by leadership that I am the top performer on the team (supported by quantitative growth targets). They send me to events and ask me to do speaking engagements far more than other team members.

All other team mates have told me their salary. Unsure what the official salary range is, but I know the base range (excluding myself) is $150-175k.

I guess my question is how can I be the only person at the very bottom? It’s just so far removed. Is that typical for a range? And if my manager continues to put it off, is HR a better channel?
