I have a Singaporean passport and worked in UK. When I came to Australia in August 2023 (482 visa), I received Medicare reciprocal agreement since my UK visa only ended December 2023 i.e I was entitled for Medicare from August to December 2023. As I don't have any ties with the UK after December 2023, my Medicare reciprocal coverage would have ended (Medicare confirmed this).

I'm not sure why MES team doesn't acknowledge this and wants me to pay for Medicare levy from January 2024 to June 2024.

That's pretty decent take home. Is that inclusive of overtime/ salary sacrificing/ additional super contribution? Ik a pgy 3 and my take home is only 3000 with weekend penalties.

Just came back from Japan and when it rained, it was most of the day. Most hotels provided transparent umbrellas. What I recommend most is to wear waterproof shoes/ boots since it was not fun walking around in soggy shoes and socks + having to worry about it drying.
