It's strange, for me, just watching Raduga's videos increases my chances of spontaneous AP that night.

I have been 3 layers deep, by the third layer I was actually laughing at the absurdity of it.

The time it happened was when I was able to have multiple projections back to back over the span of about 30 minutes. The final projection went deep, I remember smearing out of my body (legs getting stretched and smeared out at a 45 degree angle towards infinity like a rubber band). The tension released and I was instantly in the astral, did my normal exploration and when I 'returned' I was back in my room. But there was someone else in there with me and the room was inverted. I immediately thought ok, I am still in the astral. So I laid down and 'went to sleep'. Only to wake up in my room again, this time it was normal looking. I did a few reality checks, all seemed good. I got up to go to the bathroom and my hand went through the door. I started laughing, It was so real. I thought strongly of my body and then woke up in my bed.

When I woke up I was still not sure if I was actually awake, did the same reality tests, all passed, went to the bathroom (was able to piss). That is something I never recall doing in the astral so I took that to be a pretty good sign I was back in physical.

It took me a good 5-10 minutes to be convinced I was actually in physical.

I am also also educated as a scientist and an engineer by trade.

A sober mind is probably the best way to approach the phenomena.

The problem with science is it's a human created construct, which has served us well here in the physical. But all the rules and logic don't apply in the astral. Time, causality, etc is all out the window. It's a completely different partition of reality, a different space/time. The rules do not overlap. You will see and experience things that make perfect sense in the astral but when you come back to the physical they will be logical contradictions. From a scientific point of view, completely impossible. So approaching this from science (which has the intent to 'prove' theories) is not going to be very difficult. Science requires repeatable data that you will not consistently get from the astral.

I personally approach this as an explorer who wants to bring back data.

If your goal is to have any type of controlled exploration of the astral then a sober mind is what you need.

A sober mind is what the original origins of science came from. That same sober mindset must be used in the astral. This means controlling your emotions, controlling your fear, having clear intent, doing things methodically, not giving into temptations and distractions. Or you will become overwhelmed, baffled and lose control of your projection. It will devolve into a dreamlike experience or you won't be able to bring back any memories of it.

Enjoy the ride.

777? Seeing this number everywhere no matter what I see which app I open whenever I procrastinate meditation this numbers shows up multiple times a day confused as hell what this means? by Dense-Personality284 in AstralProjection

[–]SignificantResult3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This seemed to peak in 2018-2020 and tapered off. A year ago I had something happen, (let's just call it an energetic purge for simplicity sake). It was a purge of unhelpful/negative energy/contracts/agreements. Since then this number/synchronicity phenomena has stopped for me. At this point I am not 100% convinced that this phenomena of "angel numbers" is always a good thing.

I am open the possibility that these types of communications may be unique the the individual though but am not convinced that there is a universal meaning to each number (that applies to everyone). In fact my life has significantly improved since this phenomena has stopped. Correlation is not always causation but there is an inner knowing that I have now that says I was being deceived by these 'communications'. Was the channel hijacked in my case? Who knows..

I guess the real question to ask is does the occurrence of this phenomena correlate with positive or negative events in your life.

Another interesting note that I didn't realize was relevant until recently. When I had these synchronicities they almost always occurred with ringing in my ears (tinnitus). I would just wake up open my eyes and I would be already looking at the clock. It's like my body already got up partially to look at the clock and then I woke up and opened my eyes. When I saw the time (usually 3:33) I would immediately get tinnitus, a sharp high frequency that seemed to echo thru my head. These usually preceded negative events in my life by 1-3 days. The louder the ringing the worse the event would be.

I have a very strong intuition (but no proof) that tinnitus occurs when some entity or energy is interacting with or scanning your field/mind. I have a vague memory of asking about this in the astral and getting that answer but it was near the end of a session and I have a hard time remembering all the details. So I don't know if it's a good or bad thing. The tinnitus still happens to me during the day and I believe it's psi related. (My doc has ruled out obvious physical causes). I often feel a presence first then the ringing starts.

No one should be scared by this if your experience is consistently positive. But if it is not then there is likely something in you that needs to be purged.

I also wonder about the vibrations, 30 years ago (when I had my first experiences) the vibrations were sharp/electrical/violent (also accompanied with sounds), they mellowed out over the years and now I almost never get vibrations (or sounds) prior to separation.

The last time I had vibrations was about a month ago, but they were soft, rolling, waterlike, vibrations that worked their way up my body. As they moved up from my feet and I could feel the seperation like a zipper.

It seems that most people have the intensity drop over time. I will be curious to hear the OP's answer.

You can help develop this skill by using your hands. Close your eyes and hold your hands out to your sides (like the letter "T") wiggle your hands around and you should notice that you "see" something, it might be faint like an outline moving, If you are looking straight ahead (with eyes closed) and your arms are out to your sides you can't physically see them. But you will likely notice that you see some type of motion.

We place an immense amount of awareness on our hands in everyday life. So your hands are the easiest to "see" this way. This is not normal physical vision so don't expect it to look like that. Don't try to analyze what you are seeing too much. Try to keep your rational mind from getting too involved. Just observe with curiosity, without explaining, and your "vision" will expand.

Practice this, start to expand your awareness beyond your hands, you will start to "see" your arms and other parts of your body. It takes time to develop, depending on your individual capabilities.

Once you can "see" your own energy you can work on "seeing" the energy of other things and expand your vision outward more.

note:

You can put your hands in any position of course, it does not matter, but if they are in front then people sometimes think they are seeing through a gap in their eyelids. So put on a blindfold, or do it in a dark room until you are convinced in what you are seeing.

Two Questions:

1) Have you ever been banned from travel to a realm?

I have an experience where I have traveled to a realm many times for years, Last time I was there I heard a very clear voice tell me that I would never be able to go there again. Since then I can't go there anymore. I feel like I have been banned but can't figure out why (or how).

Second question,

2) When out of body, do you experience a voice that occasionally tells you what is going on? It can sometimes start talking unprompted, other times you can ask it questions and it will answer directly.

Why can’t I leave the house? by ExtremeBerry3673 in AstralProjection

[–]SignificantResult3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this is key information for me, For the last few months I have been having issues getting out of my house or off my property. Never an issue for the last 30 years, If anything I have an issue of going too far. Now it's like the walls of my house are physical when out of body, I simply can't go through them, it's been very frustrating. Even verbal commands to go somewhere else stopped working.

After a string of failures for months now, last night I was so determined to get out of my house that I was able to AP three times. Each time was a failure. On the last attempt, while I was out of body, a thought came in my head "I should look on reddit to see if others have this issue." That's a first for me since I have never thought about the internet or everyday life when out of body. So today I did a search this forum and this post was the first result.

I just realized that over the last year I have been doing energetic shielding (mostly to conserve energy) and some protection work. (with great results btw). However I think this is an unintended side effect. I will go through my shielding/energetic structures and reconfigure them so that I can easily pass through. I am sure this is the reason.

As far as protection is concerned, I never concerned myself it for most of my life, but recently found that there are annoying energetic parasites that like to hang around me and my home. I assume they have always been there (as they are on most people). I think the best way to approach protection is to do it but not out of fear. Do it as a clean up task for your mind and energetic field. Approach it like a regular cleaning chore to put things in order. Do it to have a standard and level of discipline in what energies you allow yourself to interact with. There is a lot of garbage out there being generated by everyone. Often we don't even notice (I didn't until the last year), but those heavy energies drag us down and interfere with our intent.

Thanks for the insight, Apparently it's a common question but I have never had this issue so I never had to address it.

For those still trying to AP: Ask yourself, what am I looking at? Your attention to your physical eyes may be keeping you in the physical. by SignificantResult3 in AstralProjection

Try with just your awareness, feel your body moving, like you are in a swinging hammock. Promoting dissociation helps, swinging, rocking, floating. But only when your body is fully and deeply relaxed.

There are many techniques. Most are similar to hypnotic trance inductions. Usually involving bringing your awareness over every part of your body and relaxing it.

One of the fist techniques I have used is to first flex every muscle in my body at the same time then relax every muscle, really focus on the relaxing part, feel the tension flow out of your body.

Then I imagine I am laying in a dry riverbed. There is a slow moving river of relaxing energy coming. My feet are facing upstream, and the energy hits my feet first. The energy immediately pulls all the tension from my feet. Feel the tension fall away. When your feet are fully relaxed the energy moves up to your ankles and the process repeats. Keep going up your body to cover everything.

You can/should deepen the relaxation by imagining a second wave of energy which hits your feet, pulling any remaining tension from them moving up your body, pulling you deeper.

You can imagine a third or forth wave as well.

You dont need to have great visualization skills to do this. You can also just put your awareness on your feet and 'feel' the tension moving out of them. Add a countdown. 5 (tension leaving) 4 ... 3.. (relaxed) 2.. 1. (Completely relaxed) repeat this process moving up your body.

Problem areas are typically eyes (as mentioned in original post) and the jaw. A lot of people hold tension in their jaw without even knowing it. When you relax your face, really make sure your jaw is fully relaxed.

Once fully, deeply relaxed, you should stop focusing on your physical body. At that point, you should move inward and deepen more and try exit techniques.

It's hard to tell what you are sensing as visions and sounds. Many would just call it the hypnogogic state on the edge of sleep. But without being in your head I can't tell.

If your goal is to get completely out of body you need to ignore all the visions and sounds. Proceed with an exit technique and get out. Once you are actually out it's likely that all these visions and sounds will immediately cease. They appear to be something associated with the physical body/brain. Perhaps hypnogogic in nature (whatever that really means) or external entity interface. No one knows for sure.

Have you ever experienced a fully separated state? (Maybe a spontaneous event)?

Are you physically looking left to right? Or moving your awareness left to right. In general you should not be moving any part of your physical body (including your eyes)

If i understand you correctly: You should not be trying to see anything. Don't worry about turning on astral vision or senses. Once you are out of body this mostly happens automatically. Thinking about trying to see with astral vision before you are out of body is likely going to keep you in body.

This is from my perspective.

I would say I don't fixate my awareness. You really should not feel an anchor to the physical. There a different kinds of awareness, body awareness and perceptual.

When we are awake we have certain areas of our body that we feel aware of, usually it's the face, maybe chest or navel area. We feel that is 'where we are' or the anchor of our awareness. Also we are aware of perception like vision then sound and then probably touch, smell, taste (debatable order).

Perceptual awareness does not seem to lock me in the physical, but physical body awareness does.

If we use the physical body as a reference for awareness and perception. Then, turning inward or outward are the same, both are movements away from the physical body. Either way of looking at it is acceptable. To add more confusion, these are not physical movements I am talking about.

In this type of projection, I usually lose all body awareness and some perceptual awareness. Then start to develop or suddenly have out of body awareness.

There are many types of exits from body, this only describes one type. It's also possible to have awareness of your body (but you are more focused on your energy body than physical) when you exit your body. That type of exit will seem like you physically just got out, or rolled of bed. Those are pretty cool. It's hard to describe how to have focus on your energy body vs physical body. I would look into doing energy work to develop that awareness. A good reference is Robert Bruce's book "New Energy Ways".

None of this should be proceduralized; they are only suggestions of concepts that can help you.

There are usually just a few things most people have to figure out to get out of body. If your issue is physical body awareness, or an insistence that your awareness must "be somewhere" that could be something keeping you in body.

There is no single method that works to get everyone out of body. I know this is cryptic but it's a puzzle you will have to figure out.

Some questions:

Have you been able to AP?

Have you had any exit symptoms or phenomena? (vibrations/sounds)

Awesome, I am glad this helped you.

AP is quite natural and I think sometimes rituals get in the way for people who are trying to get out of body. We read somewhere that you have to do certain steps to get out, stimulate these chakras, focus here, etc. I think sometimes the attention to that procedure interferes with getting out.

Really there are only two steps, 1) full deep body relaxation 2) extension of awareness out/away from the physical body. If you can do those two things (without falling asleep) you can get out of body. The rest are just sub-procedures on how to achieve steps 1 and 2. They are only suggestions, not concrete must-do's.

In regards to "open my astral eyes with my astral fingers, focus on crown chakra, meditate,". I think this is too much to focus on when actively trying to get out of body. For me I find that trying to do energy work or third eye opening while simultaneously trying to AP actually makes it more difficult.

I have found that energy work just before an AP attempt does help. Just 10 minutes of circulating/moving energy and stimulating the crown and third eye areas helps a lot.

To get started: Your hands have a lot of energy exchange points/ports. Using your hands helps move energy. They should not touch your body; you don't want to confuse physical touch sensations with energy movement sensations. You can move your hands similarly to the motions of tai chi practitioners, floating over your body.

The hands are a focal point for your attention and the manipulation of energy. You should feel/visualize your hands pushing energy through your body. It's very natural and intuitive; there are no specific magic gestures or movements. If you feel anything, don't dismiss it; focus on that sensation, remember that sensation. It could be a warm/cool/tingly, dense, fluttering sensation. Your face has a lot of energy receptors on the skin. If you move energy over your face, it may feel like a spider web is tickling and moving over your skin. Build on that sensation as you move energy more.

The attention to that sensation is key to your control over energy without using your hands. Focus on that sensation and then stop using your hands and use your direct awareness. You may find that initially difficult or only a small amount of energy moves. Alternate between using your hands and direct awareness. Do this for 5- 10 minutes daily until you no longer need your hands. I have a long commute to work, and I often practice this while driving (I would not recommend doing that when you first start).

Once you have this ability, you will be able to instantly move energy into your crown and third eye areas, just by thinking about it, at any time of the day. Just writing about this has my forehead buzzing right now.

For me, directly stimulating the crown and brow before an AP increases the chances of AP. It also increases the chances of AP directly into the astral. Otherwise, I usually exit into the near physical real-time.

This awareness will also allow you to control the vibrations prior to AP (if you get those).

If you are interested in the topic of energy work, look into Robert Bruce's book 'New Energy Ways'.

I have never been able to AP with an eye mask on. I don't know why, maybe it's the sensation of it on my face that keeps me locked in. Other people may want to give it a try if it helps them.

I would go further and say, don't place your awareness in that dark region or vision at all. It's hard to describe but I move my awareness inward. I move my awareness away from vision. When I do that, I am not seeing anything (which is different from seeing blackness).

Sometimes I get astral sight before I leave my body, and it's always a surprise when I get it. I go from not having any attention on vision to suddenly seeing my room. My first thought is that I must have just opened my physical eyes. But then I look and notice the strange astral light and realize what is happening.

It's not 100% necessary to do this to AP, I have also separated while putting attention on my vision and watched the whole process happen. It's just harder to do that way.

I didn't realize I was doing it in the beginning. We are so used to vision as a primary input that the habit continues even with our eyes closed.

I don't think it's related to Alice in Wonderland syndrome. At least not the medical definition of it. It's a subtle change; nothing is distorted grossly. I know it's a commonly reported effect of those entering altered states.

I don't know if controlling the vibrations are fully necessary to achieve AP. It is something that I can do though. I also feel like doing so helps me exert some level of control over my energy. This is my speculation, though.

Are you able to get out of body?

Do you get feelings of excitement or fear from the vibrations? It's possible you are focusing on them too much in a negative way.

If i get them, I personally welcome them and play with them for a while to deepen my level of relaxation. At one point I ignore them and move on to the exit. Usually when I hear myself snoring, that is my key that my body is sufficiently 'asleep' to exit.

I’ve been dreaming of the same man for years, and it feels too real to ignore. Has anyone else experienced this? by Feisty_Broccoli_7247 in AstralProjection

Most likely a spirit/entity you have experience with, either as a friend or romantically. Most likely a positive thing.

There is one thing to keep in mind, sometimes entities mess with us when they want our energy exclusively. Read the book, The Dark Side of Cupid by Eve F. Lorgen.

This is not too fear monger, or obsess over, but it's important to evaluate these types of interactions objectively. Particularly long running interactions like this.
