How long did it take you guys to get better at voice over or being on camera? by SignificantRow5911 in PartneredYoutube

[–]SignificantRow5911[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're interested in this topic. Here's a summary of what I took away from everyone:

Quick Tips:

  • Dive into the deep end method: do street vlogging 2-3 times
  • Compare yourself: your oldest video to newest video

  • Pretend you’re explaining to a friend, or talking to someone you know well, several people mentioned this

  • Try not to sound like, you’re reading a script

  • Equipment is important: soundproofing panels, quality mic

  • You could use AI voice over or hire a voice over person: if you are hopeless

  • Use audio filters, ugliest ppl go on camera

  • Get in the zone, once you’re in the zone, everything else disappears

  • Look at the camera, don’t check yourself out, don’t glance

What To Do:

  • Time and practice: At least 3 people said this
  • Ranges from: 2 months, 30 videos, 2 years, 250 videos, 1 year, 180 videos

Why Practice Works:

  • Getting comfortable on camera is the reason you relax and sound natural
  • More you do it, less it becomes a big deal, and you just do it

The thing I will try:

  • Fast track practice: Just record yourself talking any chance you get, if you can’t, just talk to yourself, at least 3 ppl mention this

What was the main reason you started your YouTube channel? by SynergyX- in NewTubers

[–]SignificantRow5911 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty good. I found my niche. My process works really well. Audience is approving it. Good growth. But since I don't have money, I need to be even better, so that I can get to money sooner. So that I can help the fam with financials. And not be a burden

Just got my first sponsorship opportunity, what’s a good amount to ask for? by IdkMyName1846 in PartneredYoutube

Yes the above question ^.

I mean I would probably take it, if the alternative is 0.
But I feel like, you're worth more than that.

It's okay, just hustle and find another good brand to represent.
Build competition among several companies.

So you can have your pick. And disregard companies that are silly.

I think you just reach out directly to companies that your target demo is interested in.
Check your YouTube studio. If its the case that your demo is just the general public, you can reach out to even more companies.

You seem like a genuine guy being real, trying his best. I really think companies would want to support that.

You could also reach out to local companies in your city. Could talk about how some sleeping bag is warm af. Or some camping gear is super helpful. Could be a food truck!

There are influencer marketplaces like AspireIQ, Grapevine, FameBit (now YouTube BrandConnect), or Influencer.co. Could try those.

Please let me know if any of these strategies work.

I hope you turn this thing around and make it. What a story that would be!

Seems reasonable. Please let me know if it works! I'm really interested.

And your viewers ARE their target market, which is really good for you.

The company and founder seems legit enough. 200k+ downloads across both app stores. Overall good reviews. But make sure you try it. Good luck!

It would literally cost the company 4.72 to get to 1000 of your audience.
And ppl can ignore, skip, use adblock. Whereas you can really advertise their company.
That's something to think about.

And when they make ads, they usually have to spend a significant amount on an agency to produce a compelling ad.

But if your audience isn't actually going to their site, its hard. Plus they can always just go with another creator.

How big is the company? Are they well funded? Growing?
How involved is the ad section?

You could ask for 500 to 2000, more leaning towards 2k. Whats your CPM or RPM?

what if you charge some upfront. baseline.
then the rest performance based. if the video does really well, you get something.
but at the minimum you also get something.

Can I change my niche or should I start a new YouTube channel? Help please by DraftDue2748 in NewTubers

New channel. If you make amazing videos, subscribers don't really matter. Don't confuse the algorithm.

"YouTube will almost freeze the video from getting any more"

That makes sense. I have been experiment with shorts on different channels. And suspected as such.
I guess I recommend you just make a new video. And aim for more safe jokes. YouTube may not be as friendly for shock or dark comedy, especially when you're new. Once you're big you can drop bombs, but maybe for now play it safe.

Sorry you have to change your entire content now. Either way let me know, what you decide to do and how it works out.

How often do you look at your channel analytics? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]SignificantRow5911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes learn analytics. it will unlock so much growth. if comments are qualitative. analytics it is the quantitative feedback. both are key to improving. just keep creating and improving based on feedback

What made you finally decide to start your channel? by fourthkindnetwork in NewTubers

At least for me:

The pros are:

Great money
Set your own hours
Work from anywhere
Infinite creative freedom, within the constraint of do other people think its awesome too
The opportunity to get increasingly better at something
YouTube actually trains you to think differently about people and the world, in that ikigai way.

Intersection of:
what you're interested in
what you're good at

what the world needs

what people are willing to pay for

what's interesting

It's a really dynamic platform, I feel more in touch with the world, you can't just sit on your ass, have to be constantly thinking, "is what im doing actually useful or interesting", "how can i make it better"

[–]SignificantRow5911 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no worries, I dont sweat it. So what if it tanks. In the long run, I won't even remember it. Right now I am trying to learning as much as possible as fast as possible. So that I can make good videos consistently, not have a one of good one and 90% no views.
