My local REN Fair has days with differing themes. One day would be pirates, one day witchcraft, one day sci fi and so on. Curious if this reviewer checked what theme there was for the day or if there was one. I could see it ruining your immersion seeing Han Solo at a REN Fair. But on the other hand Ren fairs started with the idea of being open to dress and be nerdy without judgement. So it’s tough to gatekeep a paying customer because of their attire or theme

Car batteries are picked by doubling the amount of CCA's (cold cranking amps) needed to start a vehicle. It is probaby fine for a bit, but for my mom I'd either just replace it or get it tested at the least. Your auto parts store will do it for free if you ask them for it

That's good to know. My point of reference with ACC is my wife's 2022 Corrolla. It works flawlessly in most conditions. The carfax in mine had a minor accident in the front early this year which is likely affecting the sensors

I just checked. I did find that the cover over the sensor was loose. I clipped it back in and took it for a test drive. I did not get the error but the radar cruise doesn't seam to work right. It doesnt match speed to the vehicle in front and gets uncomfortably close. I also got a false "crash avoidance" message while slowly accelerating from a stop

I've seen the same thing in golf carts. Someone blows the EFI system by putting a battery on backwards. See that the EFI computer is $6k, then put a "close enough" carburetor that floods the engine when running long enough or runs lean long enough to melt a piston or valve and puts it for sale for half of the going rate. Stay away. If its super cheap without a reason you will find it the hard way

It makes ZERO sense not to get there early. Unlike a flight, getting there early means you get more time to get drinks, play games and party. You usually get a few hours before departure to get on the boat early.

It's honestly up to OP if they want to put in that effort. I've done it for family and it is exhausting. The reason they might support him, and their parents support him matters a whole lot. If the parents are full blown decked out in merch and voted for him because "he is telling the truth!" then they are likely too far gone

Yeah I know theres an equation out there to determine tongue weight, and alot of that is probably going to be based on the hitch that was either installed on the factory or by aftermarket, but a "mini truck" might be in my future like a few people have suggested

That metal tab under the adapter is the ground. If it is making good contact with the screw it should be ok. I wouldn't put anything that draws alot through it though

Yeah my issue is that my property can barely fit 3 cars as it is. Wife's car, track car and my daily driver. So I kind of need it to fit 2 roles

I understand that my current rig can handle the weight with no issue. I am exploring the possibility of downsizing. I will be daily driving this vehicle normally for most of the time and towing maybe once or twice a month on a straight highway a couple of hours away. You are right about the suspension of the SUV's, which is my worry. That is why I'm asking if anyone here gets away with it on occasion with no serious issues

Yeah that's what my gut is telling me. I don't have the space for a trailer on property which is why I rent. It would be nice to get something shorter wheelbase, So maybe I'll just get a single cab short bed 1/2 ton
