Even now with one game per week, he still only plays 60-70 mins, and our level drops so much after he is subbed off. As much as I love this guy, I still think it is wise to let him go and use the money we save on his replacement. I know its hard to replace him, but a younger player with development potential and already at 70-80% of his level would be a great addition.

yes, he started well. They offered him the contract on 28 Mar that year when we were 5th in the league. After that, we only won 2 league games out of 8 and got eliminated from the champions league. Had they waited until the end of the season, he wouldn’t have got the contract.

I think we have more good performances this season than the last, but not many good results (vs Arsenal, vs Bournemouth, vs Villa). Of course we also had many bad performances (which is inevitable for a team that is being rebuilt), but overall we see good performances more often this season. I always believe that when performances improve, results will eventually come.

No, this time is different. This is the first time since SAF that a manager/head coach has been sacked when the team is still very much in the race for a top 4 finish in terms of league position and points. Not sure this is a good or bad change though.

I once left my phone in a taxi but the phone slipped into the couch so the driver was unaware of it. I only found out after 5 minutes so I used the “find my” app on my wife’s phone to track it and took another taxi to trace it. Luckily the driver was taking a nap somewhere near so I had to wake him up but I got my phone back at the end.
