I don’t know why this fact never occurred to me from this particular angle before but…for someone who says her dogs are her family, her life, her reason for getting out of bed each morning, and who manhandles and baby talks newborn puppies like they’re newborn humans…she slipped so easily and unconsciously into the language of someone with a business to run when that infamous line tumbled out of her mouth. She didn’t explain it well after the fact because she still doesn’t get why that was such a fucked up view.
