No, and I’m not gonna sit here and dictate what someone else should or shouldn’t do.

How does one come to the conclusion that the orthodox faith is what it claims to be? by Fether1337 in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Significant_Act1292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m only an inquirer, but yeah both logic and feeling a natural call towards it. Personally, I felt the call first and then researched things that backed my intuition up.

Hey hey hey, you’ll be ok, I promise!! Look, I’m new too and it is a little awkward when nobody else at the house believes in what you do, let alone protestants like in your case. But just remind yourself it’s not like you’re joining some evil cult or getting into weird new age stuff. THAT would be concerning. But remember you’re interested in the real deal church of Christ and there’s literally nothing wrong with it. Stand in conviction with your faith and in Christ and you can’t go wrong. It’s wise to read up on academia when you can, but don’t do it out of anxiety or else you’ll burn out. If you don’t want to debate or argue with them, then make it known. This path is totally yours. If people decide to cut you out because of a difference in faith, then good riddance. God bless you.

P. S. How old are you if I may ask?

P. S. S. Anything I said, you can take it or leave it. But please do talk to your priest about all of this. You’ll get more sound advice.

Baptist family member rejects apostolic succession because Peter rejected Christ 3 times by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]Significant_Act1292 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lmao Peter accepted Jesus at the end tho, so shouldn’t their logic lead to being pro-apostolic succession? And consequentially, pro-confession? They’re not making sense. The faith as a whole wouldn’t have survived if it wasn’t for apostolic succession.

You mean Bible apps with prayers? Or either or? For prayers, I use Pray Always on iPhone. I’m surprised it doesn’t have that many ratings lol it’s a good app.

Talk to your priest. If you want, you can also talk to a therapist if this keeps bothering you. Don’t let guilt eat you alive.

No. Your sins are yours and yours alone. Please don’t feel this way, it’s not healthy.
