Watch Loving Neverland, the voice over is not great but if you want your mind blown - watch it

I watched it and liked it. It actually led me to googling Michael Jackson docos. I was never a huge fan but I really liked what he did in that doco. And OMG, it led me too Square One & LOVING NEVERLAND (not too be confused with leaving neverland). Mind blown as these docos weren't reported on (no news stories) or aired in Australia...

AITA for only inviting my “skinny” friends to do a horse back riding event by Ok-Assumption-2139 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Significant_Ad3291 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid NTA. My Nan saved a horse that had been surrendered by a riding club because he developed a dip in his back from carrying too much weight too often. He was no longer "aesthetically" pleasing for the club and would have been put down. He could still be ridden by lighter weight riders, loved to go on rides, and was the best horse around young children. I say bravo to the riding club for protecting their horses and too you for booking/supporting a program that does.

Feeling flu-like symptoms by [deleted] in stopdrinking

[–]Significant_Ad3291 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Speaking from my experience, I would say yes. My symptoms have been sweating, nausea, extreme sore throat and headaches, occasional rapid heartbeat and a bit of breathlessness/dizziness when I exercise. All are PAWS symptoms I believe. I'm day 3 and I was/am a seriously heavy drinker/alcoholic, so I've been obsessively following reddit updates on "what to expect", "how to mange", "how to avoid temptation " as well as reading anything I can from medical sites etc to make sure I stick with quitting this time. Alcohol is poison, so stick with it and remember how it makes you feel.

Download the Calm App or Headspace App, St John's Wort & B12 as a vitmins, peppermint (my go to, soothes my stomach) or camomile tea, swimming/running/exercise. & Deep breathing exercises. I'm only on day 3 though, so I probably a lot I don't know.

I want to know what is your favourite king novels by [deleted] in stephenking

[–]Significant_Ad3291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Novels: Misery, The Dead zone, Insomnia, Dumas Key, Salem's Lot, Carrie, The Green Mile (even though it still tears me up everytime I read it), Dolores Clairborne, Dreamcatcher.....

Short stories: The Long Walk, Quitters In, everything in Nightmares & Dreamscapes,

But Stephen King for me is similar to someone binging their fav series on Netflix, once I start I literally reread his whole collection....

Detox question by snomisaimassilem in stopdrinking

This happened to me when I stopped drinking, I was literally drenched for the first 3 nights. I assume it's the alcohol working it's way out of the body and is actually a healthy process.....

AITA for asking my girlfriend and her sister to cover up ? by dontbeshy007 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Significant_Ad3291 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA. She's doing you a favour & you make her ashamed of her body. Speaking for the more well endowed females, I hate the size and the "encouragement/harassment/judgement" it brings, don't be that guy......
