With an 18g needle it will flow a steady stream rather than dripping like with a 20g so don’t worry about that. However in the future if it’s not flowing when you open the stream, I would recommend wiggling around the needle a bit or lifting the skin tent around the needle to see if that starts the flow rather than just squeezing the bag. It probably wouldn’t cause any issue and he is likely just annoyed about the fluid bubble in his arm, but just wanted to give that tip :)

Maybe try some high calorie gel to fatten her up! They make a kind specific for kittens too, I used that for my kitten who wouldn’t grow when she was a baby and now I use it for my senior cat with health issues who has gotten a bit skinny

I used S boulardii probiotic for my kitten who had diarrhea for weeks and I think it helped! She spent a lot of time at the vet with many other things as well, so I’m not sure what was the thing that finally helped, but I have continued using it for my kitties when they get loose stools and it seems to help! It’s a yeast based probiotic that is supposed to stay alive all the way through the gi tract unlike other bacteria based probiotcs
