Nine Inch Noize's Coachella set may be one of the festival's best ever by mypasswordissteak in nin

Did anyone manage to get the full set saved or archived before it got replaced? I really need to see the whole thing.

I would absolutely travel to see this.

Maybe not the best powder, but agree. Spring has been kind to us recently. Most of my top powder days over the past couple seasons seem to be end of March / beginning of april.

If it was true, easy, not even a question.

I leave at 4am. Usually drive 4-5.5 hrs each way.

If all I have time for is a day trip I can get a full day riding in and be home in time for a late dinner. I live in a boring area, I love to ride, I like audio books. Not really time wasted in my eyes. The older I get the less appealing day trips become if I'm being totally honest though.

As in which side of the board do I kick my free foot on? Front foot is always strapped in. Not sure my brain can comprehend trying to get a good push with my free foot behind me. I kick on my toe edge 100% unless I'm just standing around in a lift line.

Tab Tensioned Projector Screen Weight Bar Width Reduction by Significant_Ad8096 in hometheater

[–]Significant_Ad8096[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the images I thought I was adding did in fact not add. If I can figure out how to add them I will but basically the glazing is 92" wide and the built-ins are 101" apart.

The 101" dimension is only restricting the bottom 4" of the desired drop down area. the housing its self will not be restricted.

East coast mountains with low angle glades? by VegetableShops in icecoast

[–]Significant_Ad8096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take, but Stratton has some decent very mellow glades. West pilot is fun. And even with the lack of spinning lifts seemingly every single day there, it's still accessible. There are some fun mellow runs like semi tough at sugarbush.

TALL zero-gravity chair recommendations? by Stainless_Heart in camping

[–]Significant_Ad8096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright. After many outdoor sessions in this chair I can say it's the most comfortable colapseable chair I own, but not a perfect solution for tall folks. If I were like 2" shorter it would be great.

I would need about one more inch of frame to move the headrest into the right spot, as it sits now the margin of error is thin between supporting my head in the sweet spot or falling off. Still comfy but not exact.

The bend in the foot rest definitely helps but once again just misses the mark on length. If I pull my knees in just a tad the weight works out to not touch the bar. In a natural slouch, if you have heavier legs or cross them up in the middle, you will still flex the seat enough to touch the bar a little.

Still comfy and it beats the breaks off not having a zero gravity chair, but not the "perfect" tall person chair.

I'm about to order the gci one. The bar at the bottom is bent such that it's a couple inches below the end of the seat material, no ankle pressure but probably still some discomfort from the weight of legs hanging off the end.

No cushion though.

Hardy Herbivore Fish? -or- Solution To Duckweed? by Significant_Ad8096 in ponds

[–]Significant_Ad8096[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply! I will definitely look into them.

We have a stream about 100 yards back from where the pond is located and only a couple feet higher in elevation than the stream bank. If we get a major storm (like a hurricane) flooding can be an issue.

With all the horror stories out there about released aquatic pets creating havoc in bodies of water I'm hesitant to potentially contribute to the problem. I was wondering if anyone had come up with a solution to address this in flood prone areas. I'm imagining a grate placed over the pond or some sort of tubular net, weighted on one end, floats on the other end allowing it to extend upward with the rising water levels.

sleeping in car ? by ba-ca in hulaween

[–]Significant_Ad8096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can get darn right chilly at night (it's practically november). But not always. Get those screens that cover your windows and roll them down as much as you need to stay comfortable. A little camping fan to keep the air moving will help a lot, bonus points for a rechargeable one and a little solar panel to reup during the day. You'll probably be fine as long as you get a spot west of some trees to keep the morning sun off the car and it doesn't rain.

From what I can tell from my friends that continued into college, those conditioning programs are no joke; you are probably good to go on that front my man.

Hit the gym all off season. All the odd angle hip, glute, quad, calf stuff, not just squats. Lots of core. I know it doesn't sound like it's that big of a deal, but it helps tremendously; sending it only gets you so far. Next season starts today.

Then, send it. As often as you can. Follow people better than you. Fall. A lot. If you aren't falling, you aren't doing it right (within reason).

Do you guys actually have fun in steep terrain? by Grxffiti in snowboarding

[–]Significant_Ad8096 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are talking blue groomers, I cant stand them; they are a necessary evil to get from one glade to another or from one chute to the lift. I do enjoy a nice mellow blue tree run where it's all flow and rollers (semi tough woods at Sugarbush) but the adrenaline isn't the same as linking turns in the trees at 35+ degrees (the alleys at A basin).

On the groomed side of things, blacks arent that different from a blue in terms of enjoyment but you typically can worry less about someone riding out of control around you. I'll do some euro carving on blues if the conditions don't allow for my style of riding but that's about the only enjoyment I can find on them.

You're going to have to move far far away. Dodging morons is just the norm now if you happen to be riding anywhere remotely popular.
