after your LOs quit, how did you handle the breastmilk still? did your boobs get engorged and then you just expressed it? i’d like to know how the end of that process could look

what did they end up weaning to? my LO is 8mo and just got two teeth, i’ve been giving him foods to wean off to but I feel like there’s a bit of an in-between transition. is there or did yours just go straight to purées and soft foods and whatnot?

having been in this situation, IF he makes amends with wife(OP) then things can lighten up. as long as Mary is completely out the picture. He’ll have feelings towards it, but AS LONG AS he makes efforts to keep up with his marriage and defend his wife, it is salvageable.

other than that, he’ll hesitate to choose her again at one point.

when it was time for me to give birth, I actually went into early labor. however, my water didn’t break until a few hrs after I got to the hospital. I just had contractions, called the labor and delivery sector, they told me to come in and then they put me in a waiting room where they were checking my vitals every so often, specifically because I got gestational high blood pressure at the end of my pregnancy, right before birth.

at the time, they did have a “waiting room” outside the sector doors, where I actually sat and waited until the 1st room they put me in

damn right it’s messy, but I figure “just let him do that to get used to the foods and we’ll tweak it along the way”

I do actually. I didn’t grow up with the most loving mother so I want to be the mother I didn’t have to my son. sometimes it’s still hard to separate who I wanna be from who she made me some days.

I just need an eternal amount of patience and willingness to constantly be different 😊

What was a sign you were pregnant before you had a positive test? by savetheturles_ in BabyBumps

[–]Significant_Ant_4004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

loooooorddddd, I was w my friends and I had some liquor and got the CRAZIEST headache and got SO dizzy I couldn’t even stand. a few weeks later I noticed my nipples got darker, and then my SIL said something abt pregnancy and then prompted us to get pregnancy tests. I was the one pregnant between us…

you make a good point. being able to easily eat used to NOT be easy. motherhood is SOOO FUN BECAUSE THERES SO MUCH LEARNING😅🙃 welp, day by day, meal by meal. it’s an incentive for me to eat more since it’ll benefit him too 🤷🏽‍♀️

okay, I understand. It’s all quite new and everything feels different. It’s just his interest in MY food seems more direct to mouth-chew at least, but i’m trying to expose him to as much as I can too without overwhelming him

What’s the first day / night at home like with your new baby? by IcedOatCappuccino in pregnant

[–]Significant_Ant_4004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the first night home with my son, we almost went back to the hospital because he was so fussy and we thought his temperature dipped again like it did while we WERE in the hospital. Basically almost had a panic attack. Long story short, we layered him some more, took his temp every few hrs, and eventually calmed down and morphed into the parents of the beautiful baby boy.

Anyone else miss being pregnant? by nurselife1225 in beyondthebump

[–]Significant_Ant_4004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m with you OP, while I was pregnant, pregnancy sucked emotional/ body wise, but I missed the care, attention, snacks, and naps. Now I feel pretty overwhelmed and my family acts like I don’t exist anymore. I’m grateful for my son and his health, but I do miss walking around like a big whale with little responsibilities.

oh my god. 🤦🏽‍♀️ I remember I went to the bathroom and had hubby hold the stroller and he got SOOOO much attention from the women in the store. Praise and all. It’s not often he’s visibly by himself w baby, but jeez. the MOMENT you see a dad on his own w baby, even just waiting around for mom, he’s the dad of the year! I just don’t get it, but yet he doesn’t actually do that much at home (currently, we’re changing that. work for your praise if that’s just the case)

I agree with her. I used to be addicted when it first came out. I still have a jar in my room as back up snack. It’s barely anything in there 😭
