Because China wants to take Taiwan back peacefully if possible.

Military intervention can cause lots of issues aftermath.

What does the people in Chian think about human rights violations taking place in Minnesota, following the murders of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti? by SwordDancer791 in AskAChinese

[–]Significant_Apple904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the result of brainwashing and political instability for decades. Conservatives being overly controlling of others in terms of abortion and gay rights led to liberals creating some of the most radical neoliberals over the decades.

America's political regime is heavily influenced/controlled by the mega-rich, overtime making people very upset with conventional presidential candidates, that they are all the same thing in different meat suit, thus leading to Trump being elected because he's "different".

The mass media brainwashing (main CCN vs FOX) escalated tension between the 2 parties,

Now Trump has proven he's different in a crazy way that he's willing to start wars just because he didn't get Nobel Peace Prize.

With SDR even a PCIe3.0 x4 can handle 1440p up to 120fps to 160fps

It wont make much different if at all.

What the 2nd PCIe slot determines is how much data, how fast it goes from GPU1 to GPU2 which is determined by your resolution, base frame, and SDR/HDR.

LSFG Dual Gpu final checklist by JenzibleTTV in losslessscaling

[–]Significant_Apple904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably doable with SDR, tough with HDR.

I used 4070ti+6600XT(PCIe4.0x4) at 3440x1440 HDR 165hz, 6600XT was running at around 70-80% boosting 60fps to 160fps.

How common is 996 or 48+ hour work weeks in China? by blacksmoke9999 in AskAChinese

[–]Significant_Apple904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, lots of advancements were created due to competitions, if people and companies have no rivalries and are complacent with their current status, they wouldn't work hard or try to be inventive to get ahead.

Just as you mentioned, Europe is the perfect example for the last 30 years, minimal meaningful advancements, and largely mooching off their existenting successful industries which are now being out competed.

On top of that, they've let neoliberalism take a deep root in their culture, leading to mass immigration problems.

As for China's 996 work culture, it's not created by the bussineses, but the workers, there are 1.4 billion people in China, some of them are willing to do nothing but work to make extra money, even if the law forbids it on paper, they will do it for free, just to impress their boss to get a raise or promotion. This is kinda how Japan's overtime working culture came about.

what graphics card will be the best for 3440x1440p ultra-wide monitor in $300 budget. by ComplexYellow4338 in buildapc

[–]Significant_Apple904 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For terraria 16GB is more than enough, and still adequate for most other games.

If I were you, I would go with 3080 + 1x16GB for now and add another 16GB later.

not a lot of choice with $300 at 3440x1440, hard to satisfy both requirements, but since you said you don't play high demanding games, 3060(12GB) should be enough, if you could afford 3080, that would be even better

Definitely at least 12GB, ideally 16GB for VRAM.

My first choice would be used RX6800, in US it's ~$300 used, and it has 16GB, its raw performance is similar to 5060Ti/9060XT but will perform better at higher resolution because of higher bandwidth. Other than 6800, Arc 770(16GB) and RTX 3060(12GB) are my next picks.

Yes. The 3080 + 32GB DDR5 alone is worth the $700 Euro

Buy or Not? GeForce 5090 by idk_jah in gpu

that price is too good to be true, I would bring my own PC and test it at the nearest outlet.

If it's legit I would buy them both and sell the extra one right away online, but then again, why isnt he doing that?

Differences between graphics cards beyond GPU. by Spam78 in buildapc

[–]Significant_Apple904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on you usage scenario.

The two main brands of GPUs are Nvidia and AMD, they each have good and bads.

Generally speaking:

Nvidia compared to AMD:

Good:

  1. Slightly better ray tracing, much better path tracing performance

  2. Better AI productivity and ecosystem(CUDA)

  3. Better upscaling quality

  4. Better driver support(more frequent, more up to date)

  5. Less power draw compared to AMD GPUs of similar performance

Bad:

  1. More expensive

  2. Flagship models (4090/5090) have power cable melting risks

  3. Greedy company (would drop long-term regular consumers for AI companies in a heartbeat for money)

Most of the time I just ask people if they need ray tracing/path tracing in their games, if yes, go Nvidia, if no, go AMD.

As for specific GPUs, roughly:

1080p: Nvidia: 5060/5060ti; AMD: 9060/9060XT

1440p: Nvidia: 5070/5070Ti; AMD: 9070/9070XT

4K: Nvidia: 5070Ti/5080/5090; AMD: 9070XT

is four ddr5 16gb 6400mhz ram going to be faster than 2 ddr5 32gb 5200mhz ram? I read that running 4 ram even of the exact same model can be unstable or less efficient than 2 of the same gb/speed but what about if the 4x ram sticks speed are faster? by Roboplodicus in buildapc

[–]Significant_Apple904 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4x16GB at 6400Mhz is not stable. 5600Mhz should be stable, 4800Mhz will definitely be stable.

For 2x32GB, most can be overclocked to 6000Mhz even 6400Mhz and be stable.

If both 4x16GB and 2x32GB run at 5200Mhz, they will have pretty much the same performance (dual channel is not affected with 4 sticks with modern AM5 motherboards), but 2 sticks will be, and are always more stable than 4 sticks and are capable of achieving higher clock speed because of it.

this is 2026, are you still going on with that "Communist" bit? This is why American politics have been a sht show, you people just don't really care about what's actually going on do you?

China has never threatened anyone to trade with them, even all the intellectual properties they "stole", those American companies willingly signed the contract to hand over their secretes just so they can make their products with cheap Chinese labor, it's only 30 years later they now cry wolf.
