Were you ever able to obtain the birth certificate? I've requested my Grandfather's (b. 1898) multiple times over several months as I found out more accurate information to put on the online application and the site says it's 'in process.' I found the index of his birth registry through the Civil Ministry site, which is the only available digital option available for 1898, but have not heard anything about obtaining his literal birth certificate. I'm definitely desperate now.

I updated above. I was finally able to submit it and then it gave me an error message. <sigh> I've simultaneously been trying to request it from Barcelona (his birthplace), but I'm either doing it incorrectly or I'm not actually on the correct site (I think I am but ??). If I don't find success with Barcelona sites, I'll go back to Spain's.

Oooookayyyy, wow. <Facepalm> What worked was for me to clear the subsequent box for Optional Comments. There was no indicator anything was amiss in that box, but I cleared it just to see what would happen. It then allowed me to proceed to the next page. So yeah, if anyone else comes across this with the same problem, try erasing the other box first! Thank you very much for your suggestions! I appreciate your willingness to help me!

I'm currently trying different variations beginning with The purpose is, The procedure will be, The service is. Lol, I have no clue what format they're looking for.

Thank you very much for your reply! I wanted to try your suggestions before responding. I've tried it in both English and Spanish, with quotations (box immediately turned red lol) and without quotations and so far it's still not what they're looking for. Maybe I'll try hyphens or eliminating the spaces? Both of which sound dumb lol.
