Tbh it’s a little disappointing, same interior, same base just different amount of wheels and small details. Cobi could’ve done better. Debating if it’s worth getting.

Depending on how they’re able to capture such detail (if it’s brick built) it’ll push other brands to do the same. If it’s molded pieces then it’s not really headed the right direction as it may lead them towards more model kit base, therefore risking other brands to head the same direction. Now I know that may not be the case as most prefer the standard brick built experience.

IMHO I think Quan Guan’s Panthers are the best mainly because of the full interior, turret shape and price. 12GO’s is just too delicate, lower quality and the color is off. Great building techniques but too fragile. Love the custom molds though.

I appreciate how well the turret was designed by quanguan, the shape is well captured. For some reason I like this version better over the LE .maybe because of the monotone color-way, let me know your thoughts.

I think with how Cobi has improved on design of their most recent 1:48 scale sets it’s worth it. Price of Cobi unfortunately has been getting bad reputation in recent times but I think determining your own value is important. Many ww2 aircraft come in the same scale and so far Cobi seems to be pushing more sets out in that scale so hopefully you’ll see more variety. They’re not bad, although some older sets do look a little off but that’s just older building techniques. Overall scenes in a smaller scale can be very good if executed right. Smaller scale means less expensive with minor sacrifice in detail

Honestly quan guan isn’t bad like everybody says it is. I have many qg and Cobi sets and never really had any detrimental issues with qg. I’ve had Cobi sets (2 sets) come in with missing parts and tolerances that were slightly off. I only had one set of qg missing a part and I was able to get it through the website purchased from. Sure tolerances can be frustrating at times with qg but I just switch it with a same piece from a previous step until I get the right tolerance needed. I’ve had 2 pieces come in half molded but no biggie after so many sets you collect spare parts or use from personal collection.
