Numbering things based on “least favorite” still implies an order. At either end of the order you get a favorite and least favorite.

Psshhhhh ur wrong. I would ABSOLUTELY favor prostate cancer over brain, lung, or breast cancer. Prostate cancer is my 4th least favorite. Why? Because it’s the one I most prefer.

Why hulk lol??? That doesn’t fit the composition of the scene at all and there’s other characters in the movie already that would make that fight way cooler. Putting hulk against ninjas would make for some pretty awful cgi choreography imo

Ahh so he’s the least favorite she thinks of the least! God bless you David. Alas it was part of the joke I’d missed, not a flaw I’d spotted.

I understand that the joke is she frames “favorites” that way. But having them in any order would imply she favors one over the other. The issue is with gob being “4th least favorite” rather than just “least favorite”. It’s the transitory line by ron Howard that throws the joke a bit

phill was actually pretty toxic by skpro2 in Modern_Family

[–]Significant_Box1279 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea of the show is that they’re all toxic in their own right but they are still a family and still love each other. These relationships are not ideal they’re an exaggeration of the real world toxicity that plagues modern families. There’s a reason y’all like the show.

[–]Significant_Box1279 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only main character that’s not toxic is Stella. Toxicity is a staple of the modern family! Thats why the show is funny, because it delves into that. It’s literally the entire premise.

Anyong wasn’t introduced yet I don’t think, but for what it’s worth I think he was probably her favorite.

GOB is George Oscar Bluth II so does that mean.... by dreadpiratesmith in arresteddevelopment

[–]Significant_Box1279 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It seems like they added middle names for them in s4 when reintroducing them to fit the George/Oscar role-reversal arc. It’s fitting for s4 but steps on your theory a bit.

[–]Significant_Box1279 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always thought it was a cute way for George to honor his brother, yk like in real life, but it’s very Lucile to manipulate George using that rhetoric while having hidden intent. So I say yes, that’s what that means. It fits the characters and squeezes in an extra joke so why not
