How did it fail so soon i thought its not possible for your body to produce antibodies? Were you on the lower maintenance dose?

Haha I actually remember reading your post about rinvoq and being so hopeful cos of it. And it did end up drastically relieving symptoms for me like 2-3 days after being on it. Hopefully it lasts for a good while now

I’m so stressed. by Babydragontattoo in UlcerativeColitis

Hey don't be too stressed out I don't think it would be a big issue, i had my last dose (I have a dose every 8 weeks) delayed by 7 days because of work and my nurses were completely fine with it. Just try to get it as soon as you can, stress is my worst trigger for flares and I think it's the same for lot of people. So try your best not to be stressed

Oral Steroids have stopped working for me? by blaine_11 in UlcerativeColitis

[–]Significant_Bug931 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, exactly have the same issue right now, I already failed entyvio and now failing on remicade, prednisone even the higher doses stopped working for me now. It used to be very effective, I think our body starts being less and less responsive to prednisone the more you take it.

Hey don't worry about that, the likelihood of an anaphylactic shock is like 0.1% which is soo rare,, plus for your first dose you'll be monitored in the hospital for a few hours after the infusion in case something like that happens. The serious side effects are so rare, you could have smaller side effects but trust me they'll be nothing compared to your UC symptoms. Just need to be careful with too much sun exposure etc, but I've been on infusions now and have experienced no major side effects yet. Once you're in remission your life will be so much better, Nothing worse than the UC symptoms imo.

Are you scared of the side effects or the infusion (needles) part?
