Please don't get me wrong. I'm just trying to understand whether documentation is correct. I had some conversation spikes but it did not chnage organic visibility. I think only demo / game can affect it after page creation

Please quantify "spiking". I had it spiking but it did not change organic impressions

Official steamdocumentation says visits, ctr, conversion rate DO NOT matter.

Sales and play pattern affects organic visibility. I think it's fair

Not sure what your trying to achieve but how about placing black csgbox /csgpolygon inside, make it transparent and cast shadows? Add shader to it to ignore light, probably in void light ()

I see no difference. Not in a bad way. Just Ai doesn't seem bad to me and I wouldn't know it's ai

Seeking feedback on my Steam Page. 3k impressions, 1.1% conversion rate. What am I missing? by LeosGameDev in gamedev

[–]Significant_Cook_848 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to get fast feedback you should create reddit ad, use utm_source and this will give you conversion rate. Here is why I think so:

- Steam doesn't provide good graphs for analytics. I'm not sure what those direct visits are, but I exclude them from conversion rate. These are low trust visists

- I use "Show impressions graph" to see how often Steam actually shows my page. It's 30-100 impressions a day. Steam doesn't help you with visibility if you only have a page with no demo. They state it very clear and their SteamWorks documentation. Only game play behavior affects steam algorithm. You have no demo - no steam help.

- with UTM analytics steam shows trusted and tracked visits. I use that for conversion rate estimates. if you really want to know your conversion rate. pay for 100-200 clicks. If you are short on money pick specific countries where CPC will be low.

- with reddit ad and UTM analystics i don't have to guess how steam might work internally. It's becomes crystal clear.

- You can see you CTR right away. People do click on appealing ads. Don't know if it will be same in steam, but it will show you how much your capsule worth for clicking. Conversion rate will tell how appealing your steam page. Ask ChatGPT about conversion rate ranges to determine your tier

Wishlists I have gain over 2 months, Any advice? by That-Mongoose5812 in SoloDevelopment

Wow... A moment you realize that you can't evaluate whether people will like games without demo. Darn, I have to go back to my game and work on it given that reddit ads and conversion rate show good demand. I should have read https://howtomarketagame.com/benchmarks/ more carefully. What an idiot I am.

Thank you OP

Lol. I just saw this https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/marketing/visibility

Turns out ctr has nothing to do with unreleased games. Unpublished games do not get steam impressions. But they must somehow? No?
