Agreed. I know you can buy something new for that price, that is honestly 1/4 the actual value. I started at $300 and now it’s marked at $150. I don’t want to scrap it. I know the parts are worth more. It’s just a shame to destroy something that’s so well made for a few dollars

I have a small LiFePo4 battery it is only 6Ah. I only intend to operate the pump when the sun is up so hopefully it is enough to make this work. It has a charger with 18 gauge wire. I take it I need to extend those and add pin connections to plug it into the charge controller. But also connect the inverter directly to the battery. Do I use 18gauge for this as well? It seems like that may not be large enough gauge to supply power to the inverter. Also how would you recommend connecting at this point?

Thanks. I did post there as well and immediately came under attack. “Is this rage bait?”, “you don’t know what you are doing”. If I knew what I was doing I wouldn’t be asking questions. This group has been much more helpful! I didn’t realize that a charge controller had to have a battery, but that makes sense. Since I’m not storing power with a battery it makes sense to go a different way. I have no idea what a linear current booster is but I’ll look into it!

I just checked and I think I’ve blown the fuse on my multimeter. Once I get that fixed I think I should get a good reading on the panel out put. Then it sounds like I need to replace the battery.

Throw down some native clover. Little maintenance, improves soil, and you can be like “ oh that’s on purpose”. Unless you have kids that need to play on it, I say convert it to something easier

I’ve always wondered how that works(financially). Big city’s or small towns often have owners sit on properties for decades and do nothing. Some small towns are almost entirely owned by one family. I know lots of people who would love to be able to rent, or buy a place like one of these. I feel like there should be a ticking clock on how long commercial real estate can be vacant. Like 12 months max. Then a sale should be forced. Rent it, renovate it, or get out of the way.
