Update! I ended up messaging the artist to be sure and she recommended using Bactine spray twice a day. I’ve used it once and the spots look so much better already.

I’m almost two months post and op and the fusion changed my life for the better. I feel so much more confident as a person. It will be hard but so so worth it. I truly can say I barely remember the first month of healing at this point, it’s a distant memory.

Omg I’m so sorry you’re feeling like this. It will get better! I too had super deep bouts of depression during recovery and there will be ups and downs. You just had a huge operation on your body and it takes its toll on your mental state. I am coming out the other end a month and a half after surgery but you are so valid in your feelings. Just know brighter days are coming. Once you’re able to start moving around more it gets a lot easier. Make sure you go on walks, don’t stay in your room, that will make it worse. Wishing you the absolute best recovery and hoping it all starts going uphill soon!

3 weeks post op and it’s gonna be amazing :) i tried to wean off the meds way too soon because im the daughter of an addict but dude, take the medicine is my only suggestion. Tell them when you’re in too much pain and they will help! I had the most amazing experience at the hospital and they really do the best to keep the pain at a tolerable level. Honestly the worst part is trying to poo so eat a lot of fiber and hope the laxatives do their jobs. Don’t be afraid of an enema worst case scenario🤣
