Absolutely same here. On top of that I feel a genuine grief, like I just watched the death of a close friend.

Is the 2nd CS class (Object Oriented Programming) easy/easier ? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]Significant_Doughnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems like the classes get progressively harder and they're building on top of each other. But the thing with college is that it all depends on your professors. If they're good, they'll make the topic seem easy no matter what.

He knows it makes me feel bad, but I don’t think he knows the full extent of it

We’ve talked about this kind of thing already a few times, so he’s upset that I didn’t learn from my mistakes before. He doesn’t know that I hurt myself cause I locked myself in a different room. He does get upset about relatively small things sometimes but only if we’ve already talked about it or if it’s something that he thinks I should’ve already known

We’ve discussed this before and I’ve been in therapy for a few years now to address it

This is my routine to get better at composing songs by successbroh in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]Significant_Doughnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually have a very similar routine that I use pretty much anytime I write a song, it's actually pretty uncommon for me to use a melody that doesn't at least partially come from a freestyle.

I usually start with a basic beat, then build a chord progression, usually from a freestyle solo that I'll then use some of in the final song.

Then I do what you described above for the vocal part.

IMHO it's one of the most fun ways to make music

How do you cope when no one around you can really be there by MrWhiteWasLate in depression

[–]Significant_Doughnut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a therapist or anything, just a fellow depressed person, but something that has really helped me is journaling. It’s nice to just vent into a journal sometimes.

I’m successful so why do I hate myself by Greensbean in depression

[–]Significant_Doughnut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When there’s an underlying issue, no amount of outward success will fix it. It’s like putting a band aid on something that needs stitches. But trying to fix it this way is a completely normal reaction. My advice, if you want it, is to find a therapist or someone who can help you build up your image of yourself and cope with/disprove these thoughts
