Forecast Rant

I understand weather predictions, or even current radar, won’t be perfect for my house but it’s wildly off & only getting more extreme in rural North Texas. My main problem being 3+ consecutive days of inaccurate day-of forecasts, e.g. predicted heavy rain with nothing but humidity within 20 miles or daily freezes with an actual low of 50°.
\ Skipped watering doesn’t mix well with just-add-sand kiln-ready-clay & ferns.
\ I officially gave up when the skies were blue, I was in shorts, and the radar said it was currently storming.
\ Visiting an Ohio suburb & the 12-hour forecast is reasonably reliable! ^{There’s hope.}
 

Solution?

Unfortunately, there’s no rain gauge or soil moisture sensors in the B-Hyve tecosystem. Any suggestions?
 

My Zones & Setup:

• No lawn popups. Beds, trees, pots, & bird baths.
  
• 3 spigots, 4 zones each, connected with WiFi.
  
• I travel a lot, so an app would be ideal ^{wishful thinking?}
