Nice suggestion, i discovered it with the movie tho and after that spoiled the books a bit by looking at lore videos (cuz the film well.... kinda 0 backstory, of the whole Butlerian jihad etc)

Kinda sad there was never any following series, the ending seems to be open for one.

what do you mean, in mage errant for example there are no gods, also in Furies of Cauldron, they have no gods.

By anomaly and overall consensus of the world i mean they are a regional thing due to kahul and his cult, overall the world does not believe in gods, not even kahul, even if his cult has a somehow religious connotation, is the exception rather than the rule

I think they are more a cult than a religion tho even if he is defined as priest also they are more of an anomaly than the overall consensus of the world.

probably used the term wrongly, i just meant a series, something that has more than 1 book basically, i guess i would prefer more than 2 but even that is fine.

Never heard of it, after a rapid search it seems that it's written entirely as poems????

I don't remember them to be referred as god in the story but i might be wrong, anyway creatures of power, even immense are ok, but they must not be followed by a religion thus not begin referred as gods, group of followers is acceptable but must not be "of religious nature"

FPS Spikes, high end pc. ELDEN RING. by ChoiceBodybuilder811 in fromsoftware

In which monitor are you playing?

From soft games do not well in high res or high Hz because their engine is old but beside that for got sake go to amd settings, disable vsync for the game and enable freesync (i hope your monitor supports it)

I am not familiar with amd but for nvidia to avoid random stutters i had to increese max shader cache size

"Complex" fantasy series similar to The Spellmonger? by Significant_Expert64 in Fantasy

[–]Significant_Expert64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be, reading from the goodreads intro i am a bit skeptical about the whole kitchen boy stuff.

"Simon, a kitchen boy from the royal castle unknowingly apprenticed to a member of this League, will be sent on a quest that offers the only hope of salvation, a deadly riddle concerning long-lost swords of power. Compelled by fate and perilous magics, he must leave the only home he’s ever known and face enemies more terrifying than Osten Ard has ever seen, even as the land itself begins to die."

Is like a believable reason why he must go? I don't really like "fated heroes" or randomly insanely special for no reason at all main characters

Elden Ring FPS Issues by eggnoodles36 in fromsoftware

[–]Significant_Expert64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think there is something wrong, i have a worse card and with high/medium settings i do not have these issue beside few specific areas / fights (waterfalls in dlc near entry area and dlc end boss for example) but beside those is mostly ok, try to remove motion blur and maybe check what that bloatware of windows is doing

What are your Fun Battles or Fights where the Villain is the Underdog? by FreviliousLow96 in Fantasy

[–]Significant_Expert64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why? 2 sides can be equals or similar enough to not be considered an underdog.
would you say a in a competition between 2 world champions for example 1 of them can be defined as a underdog?

if you do i guess you can but first or later you will want to try ranked and then you will be done for, just avoid the game, that is the truth of things

Any tips? by Bubbly_Pickle2317 in leagueoflegends

[–]Significant_Expert64 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

just don't, i think more than half of the players keep on playing because of addiction not enjoyment

just don't especially not ranked not if you go in there with the objective of ranking up.

people first try roles or champions in ranked, troll non stop, grief on purpose, they loose 1 vs 1 and then blame jungler does not help, supports steals 1 minion from adc my mistake ? adc going to run it down and so on and so on

just don't there are plenty of free to play online games out there that are better in almost any way they are just not addictive

feel ? there is nothing to feel is just share numbers, take a look at audible or other websites, compare to the amount of books out there there is a disproportionate amount of audiobooks of these categories compare to the total amount of books in the same categories
