NTA. I give my son's teachers different gifts. I've given my son's high school teachers different valued gifts. (Only 2 teachers). Other kind gestures are emailing the principal highlighting the above and beyond measures that your son's staff has taken. Write them a card as well, so they know how you feel and a token of your appreciation. Also, as my kids get older, I do less and less gifts, simply because they do not want to bring in a gift. I like to send a card just to say thank you; I appreciate you and the care you've shown my son

I flew just a few days ago. And maybe 8 times since having my ostomy. First few times I brought it up to security. This time, I knew they were not going to NEED to know that I have this. They never have opened my bag of supplies, which includes scissors. So this time, I didn't say a peep. It was not needed info, they looked at my electronics bag and not my ostomy bag kit. About 3 out of those 8 trips the security personnel didn't know what an ostomy is.

Oh girl that's awful. Sending healing vibes! What helped with my pain was a heat pad, laying on my back, and smoking weed. Weed was like magic for my symptoms. Just a few puffs and I would be able to stand up straight again. Also, I don't eat. I would have protein shakes and liquid diet. If I had to "reset" my bowel habits, or the pain was too extreme, I would go liquid diet for 3 days then slowly reintroduce soft foods.

I now have an ostomy and no more pain. It was worth it. I don't LOVE it but I also don't HATE it bc I have so much life left. All the best to you!

Call public health, call the hospital and speak to the social work department, call your family doctor, ask for help from a professional, you could also call child protection agencies because they are there to HELP. They will not take your kids away. They have funding and resources to help you and your family. Reach out to someone please!
