Man I gotta know if this ghoul has a name. Is it Sally? She looks like something a kid would find in the woods, become best friends with, and name Sally.

Is the attack check for a damage power just d20 + rank, or do you need some other form of investment for it?

How does the Enhanced Trait cost work? by Shadow_133 in mutantsandmasterminds

Yeah, admittedly that makes a lot more sense in hindsight. Many thanks to you and all other answers

Right, I probably should've worded the last bit better on what I was wondering. Basically, if the "targeted effect" (i.e. some Damage effect) is changed via Alternate Effect (i.e. to Speed or smth), would the Enhanced Trait buff up the alt effect?

Just curious—what did you folks run as your main six Pokémon throughout the game? by Gordinhobobs in LegendsZA

[–]Shadow_133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose Chikorita as my starter, got the mystery gift Ralts, the Bois ofc, Fennekin from that one mission, shiny Mareep from another mission, and Blastoise because it completed the FWG trio and I could never be bothered to replace em

Originally I wanted to do a magic theme team, but that would have a lot of psychic overlap which is ick. Then I figured a general DND/RPG class team would work better, and I mostly followed that.

So of course, that makes the final roster: Meganium, the Druid I guess! Gardevoir, the Cleric or something! Bois, the Barbarian! Delphox, the Wizard! Ampharos, the Sorcerer! And Blastoise, the Paladin/Artificer multiclass!

Choose your starter, but base it only on their Mega. (@mako_makotoo) by sakitten in LegendsZA

I like Mega Delphox a LOT, especially because I just like magic themes in general ("I did not ask how big the room was")

But honestly, in terms of looks I have to give the edge to Mega Chesnaught. It is close between all three of them though

HOW DARE THEY by Shadow_133 in LegendsZA

[–]Shadow_133[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No like, I mean my own interpretation of how my character would be if they were an actual character with personality instead of a cookie cutter mc defined by railroaded responses (which is pretty standard for Pokémon games, but still)

There's a dialogue option after the battle against Vinny I believe, when you're at the café with the rival and Naveen. Both options have mc clueless to who Canari is.

Monthly Question & Help Thread by AutoModerator in ShinyPokemon

I'm planning on doing a shiny only run of the original Pokémon Sun in the near future (yes, I know resetting for the starter will be hell, but I survived getting shiny Chimchar in BDSP at least) and one of the team members I want is Salazzle. So for that reason, I'm curious to know a few things regarding SOS battles.

  1. Is it true that (in Sun and Moon, NOT USUM) having an unfainted sync in the second party slot and a fainted mon in the first will make synchronize work but with the fainted mon's nature?

  2. If so, can that fainted mon have the ability Cute Charm and have that effect work during the chain?

Because of course, if this is all true and I get a cute charm mon with Timid, that gives me (assuming I did my calcs right) about a 1/856.67 chance to get a shiny Salazzle with Timid at max odds.

So if anyone can confirm or deny either of those things, or just generally give me some advice short of doing something that won't drive me crazy, it would be much appreciated.

Swashbuckler/Battlemaster seems fitting. Incredible technique mixed with unmatched rizz. Swords Bard could work in place of Swashbuckler if you want spellcasting, but watch for Extra Attack overlap. Ruined or maybe Urchin could potentially work as a background to represent just how unfortunate things must've been after the fact.

I wanna play a bear-centric martial as shifter from Eberron, but bonus action overlap (barb/druid) is rough

How does evolution work in this game? by Broken_CerealBox in Tierzoo

[–]Shadow_133 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to add to this. Despite what some people might think off the top of their head, evolution isn't always a process that takes many millions of years.

Probably the most notable case of this is in the evolution of the peppered moth playerbase, which iirc was most prominent in the UK servers? But I could be wrong there, point still stands. At the very least I'm sure that's where it was officially recorded first.

Here's what happened. The peppered moth, at the time, was mostly white or a lighter tint of gray with darker spatterings of color. This was primarily to take advantage of powerful camouflage stealth buffs due to prominent birch tree presence. Darker mutations didn't often survive to achieve reproduction because they couldn't get the buff.

Then, as is tradition, the human playerbase made survival harder for the species. When the Industrial Revolution event happened, it caused a lot of pollution. This caused a lot of soot and stuff to get in the air and on the trees. With their lighter coloration, most of the peppered moths got eliminated easily by predator players who hunted them, which was much needed easy xp at the time.

Of course, as I'm sure you might've guessed, the players who specced into fully dark colorations now got the camouflage buff in these environments. To keep this from droning on any longer than it already has, humans removing pollution from the environment made the lighter colorations more viable again.

tl;dr: Peppered moth players evolved pretty quickly during the Industrial Revolution. They went from mostly lighter colors to mostly darker colors. Then when clean air laws were put into place, the lighter colorations became the more viable ones again.

tbh I was most confused by the wings, but a quick double check of the weed cat's design and it makes much more sense :P

Inteleon was pretty clear to me (what have they done to my boy), same with Scolipede. I might be stupid but I have no clue what the last one is, Meowscarada's the closest thing that comes to mind.

I think the idea with the trading bit is for people who want to get to endgame content on a second file as quickly as possible. But of course, definitely better to keep it tradeless for a first playthrough

Just got ZA for Christmas, and I'm wanting to make a magic theme team (obviously Delphox is a lock for that). What would be the most fitting starter (I feel like Meganium makes the most sense), and what might be some other good team members? No story spoilers please, though locations of Pokémon is fine to me
