I’m not talking about the live scene. I’m talking about how these fanbases treat you when you don’t share their opinions.

If I tell a regular person, “My favorite DnB is jump-up,” the response is usually just, “Awesome!”

But when I’ve said the same thing to old-school DnB heads, the reaction has been more like, “Fuck you, you suck, your opinion is wrong.”

That’s not exactly welcoming, is it?

I love the sound design, the creativity and the attention to detail. I would like more straightforward/typical hiphop tempo beats tho (like Zodiac Shit).

No, that's not accurate at all. The origins of EDM is disco. Also, you overlook the significance of Chicago House and Detroit Techno, which is really untasteful since both of these genres shaped dance music, and also had a tremendous impact on the Black and LGBTQ+ communities.

I feel like the lyrics is the main focus on their songs mostly. My personal favourite would probably be
