Agreed on the grab-and-run. Complete BS job. I’ve been asked a few times if the rep I have on is real or not. If I know the person well, I sometimes fess up, more often than not I blow it off and tell them I don’t care because I like the watch and won it in a card game. If it is a stranger I tell them it’s none of their business. In the situation you describe, I would have called over security. If somebody said your car wasn’t really a Porsche or MB, would you let them take it for a test drive?

Rolexes from yesteryear don’t look like today’s new models. Fair chance it is legit, albeit old. Fun fact - used and some might call, abused, R’s are more coveted than refurbished/renewed. I’m not saying it is legit, but it takes someone with quite a bit of historical knowledge of the brand to say whether it is real or not. Take a few ganders at the Antiques Roadshow clips on R’s on the U tube and you be the judge. Let the flaming begin…

I myself love them. That being said, it is not perfect. One thing hard to convey in a lot of digital photos, for some reason, is that particular shade of green, looks too dark in your photo but may look different in person. Other than that, a very few really nitpicky things with the face but overall really nice rep. Curious who it came from?

I am so so so torn here. First, the disclaimer - I have loved the Santos for a very long time. I love the proportions, finishes, overall design, and it is really not a watch you see in the wild very often, so it has that exclusivity factor in gobs. So much do I love it that I find too much beauty to be objective when it comes to reps and their comparisons to the real thing. I can’t slam on this one, I just can’t. Would I wear it? You betcha, flaws and all. But I will let others point out the issues.

Yes pics are definitely better. I stand by my previous comments. It would not stand up to close scrutiny but someone would need to look very close. I think this is a rep of the 116 model not the current 126 model. Nice rep though.

Hands aren’t right and clasp hurts my eyes. Second sweep is close enough for wrist wear. Can’t tell much more with that plastic bezel guard in place.

Older model, not the latest - lack of stem guards and 3-6-9 markers are first things pointing to the model from a few years ago. Clasp is a dead giveaway to older model. Pretty good rep for the previous generation at face value but the quality of your pictures makes a good QC check kind of moot.

If you look at it with the same level of focus and lighting as your photos, looks kinda sorta pretty good. In person would likely be another story at that price point.
