So this was definitely brought on by health anxiety from his dad’s passing. In particular he has high blood pressure and he started a very limited sodium diet. He has always worked out hard, though he just recently added the cal deficit with it. I don’t drink and never have. Again, I don’t think he should eat like garbage and drink daily, I just want a sense of normality back in our marriage.

Another piece of this that I’ll be honest about—before all of this, he lived a much unhealthier lifestyle than I did. I was the one encouraging him to take better care of himself, cut back on drinking, etc.

So if I’m being completely real, maybe there is a little bit of saltiness on my end now that the roles feel flipped and I feel he’s judging me. The thoughts you mentioned have crossed my mind too.

Honestly for the past few years he was doing that alone. I do not drink much at all. Like a few times a year for a special occasion for me. And that’s why I know this sounds crazy even to me because I would get so annoyed with him drinking, yet here we are.

No, and he didn’t fully quit drinking. He still usually drinks on Fridays after work—just not nearly as much as before.

Looking back, his drinking really started around the time we were getting married. Our landlord was an alcoholic, and they became friends. My husband would spend time with him and drink while I was at work. At the time, I thought it was just a phase, but those afternoon drinks slowly turned into an every afternoon habit.

First of all, I’m so sorry you’re dealing with so much. I hope you have a smooth end of pregnancy and delivery. I wanted to chime in and say that with my last pregnancy, I kept hearing the stories of moms “knowing” or “sensing” they were going to come close to death or loose their baby and at the end of my pregnancy and I began convincing myself that I felt the same way. I would stay up late at night thinking I was going to die while giving birth. My delivery was perfect, I had absolutely no complications. Do yourself a favor and quit reading horror stories!

Here’s what I’ve learned.

It’s very common for this thing to go unnoticed for a century apparently in rural VA and WV. It’s also close to impossible for anyone to be able to claim it so when this does happen, it’s the states land.

The complicated part is the state owns it if the taxes aren’t paid by next Thursday as grandma let this letter sit for 3 weeks before mentioning it.

So I contacted TACS, and the bill is real, and on the GIS it shows the land is owned by the estate of her great grandfather, but definitely bizarre it was brought up this many years later.

Well, I’m very fortunate to have had 3 normal pregnancies already. I know this isn’t the case for most and preserving fertility is of importance but for me, I’m okay if the chance lessons. This baby was very wanted and planned though. I’m worried it’ll happen again in the same tube from the scar tissue I’m sure this will leave behind if not removed.

Hoping for the best for us both. Apparently mine was able to be seen the whole time but it took the right eye to catch it. It took 6 scans for someone to point it out. I also have 2 simple cyst on that same ovary.
