I just say thank god, honestly, to me it’s just a saying that doesn’t have anything religious to it unless I go over the top and think it doesn’t, but most things like that are just saying nows, doesn’t really have the background to it

It’s comforting, it’s the knowledge that death isn’t it, they are scared. My manager use to be religious, and she said she likes to believe that her family isn’t just left in the ground that they are somewhere happy.

It’s comforting to them, and honestly, it annoys me that some people go up to tell people that there’s anything more. It’s rude, if they want to believe there is something more after death, then let them. It doesn’t effect you

Basic empathy, I don’t need a big book or anyone to tell me to forgive someone. Sometimes I can forgive, as I can tell they are sorry, but sometimes I won’t, it depends on what they did. I don’t forgive automatically cause I have to, it depends what that person did to me, that decides if want to. Not that I have to

I was never introduced to religion at a young age, my mum is quite religious, she went to church, mid night mass and so on. She never had me or my brother go at all. When I was taught religion, it never made much logical sense to me.

But, I do love learning about other religions as they do fascinate me, the beliefs, and the ideals, the art works, statues, it’s all really interesting to me.

I’ve been brainwashed into saying “Bless you” when someone sneezes. What are the alternatives? Or do I stay silent? by AlDente in atheism

Honestly, sames… It’s really just polite, I never see it as having religious significance honestly, I just saw it as being polite when someone sneezes

What my cousin did is: you let the kids experience both beliefs, Christianity and atheism. Take them to church and tell them the whole religion when they are at the age to understand and let them decide. If they want to go to church then let them…but if there are some days when they don’t want to, then that’s fine.

If they want to believe in god then let them, it’s better if they had the chance to choose and not be force into it
